The old way of driving it into a mission circle once again works--sometimes--in stripping off the mission categorization. Have managed to get two--soft-top and hard-top--in four or five tries from the Zancudo Beach gang attack.

 

The other times it poofs. Not 100% of the time, but can personally confirm it works most of the time on PS4. Here's a link to a description of the method:

You can also do the mission "A Titan of a Job". Do the mission with other players and DO NOT have a personal vehicle in free roam. Let one of the other players fly the Titan to Sandy Shores. Stay at the hanger and fight the back up mercenaries that show up in Mesa jeeps. Get in a Mesa and wait for the mission to end successfully. Go to free roam. You should spawn back in free roam driving the jeep. This will only work if you don't have a personal vehicle in the free roam before the mission or in the mission.

as for the titan job... wouldn't that be considered a mission vehicle?... I want to be able to store it.

Good question. I have never tried to store one after a mission as I already have both a hard and soft top Mesa. I have always assumed because I spawn back in free roam with it I could store it. Are you on XB1? I'll help you get one right now. PM me.

Only way to do it in an invite only is the way I linked via S7. At worst, you'll have to go back to the gang attack the next night and try again.

 

It will work, even if it takes more than one try. It's as easy as driving the Mesa into a particular mission circle, exiting the mission, and driving to LSC or your garage with it.

Tried awhile back for the desert camos MW Mesas (I forgot if they're desert camo or similar) during the base invaders mission. Where, if I remember correctly, you destroy some Lazers and steal a Cargobob .

This. Worked for me. I just wish there was a way to remove the external roll cage on new gen. I got a hard top cageless from the transfer, but lost my cageless topless mesa with the insurance glitch

This, and do it to an isolated low level player. By isolated I mean 'somewhere on the map with nobody else around, preferably stationary'. Go to them, call mercs, kill mercs, steal car.

 

It's even more fun if you go off radar before all this, and he sees warfare erupting around him out of thin air.

If you have no one to call mercs on in an invite only session then join a public session and find a low level player on their own somewhere to call mercs on. I found a level 6 player sitting in a car in the middle of sandy shores. Called Merryweather on him and ran in to grab a Mesa to drive straight to the route 68 LSC. The mercs killed him and I felt slightly guilty about it as he didn't really have a chance, but I guess it was a good learning experience for him

 

Strangely, if the mercs kill the target they all get back into a Mesa and drive off. You can shoot at them at that point and they don't react for some reason.

But it wont be storable. The one from the gang attack can be made storable with the blue circle glitch. Anyway it's easies to just call the Mercs.
