Hi, I had adapted some weapons with this tool and they works & looks very well, but when I adapt a vehicle the chassis normalmap texture starts to flicker, I´ve tried some ways to fix that but always happen the same, has I said, it just happen with the chassis. Any help will be very useful.

 

Update: problem fixed. I even figured out a way to simulate different materials such as plastic.

This Works on

 

CJ / Player PED

Random Pedestrians+Cutscenes

Weapons

Cars

WorkS also on normal Map DFF but its not compatible with NightVertexColor attached on DFF....

I have this working very well with the Insanity CJ, and Peds mod. I was just wondering if anybody ever got around to adapting the original peds to this mod? I watched a tutorial video and it looks like it has to be done step by step for each model. If there was some automated script they could all be done in one go.

An automated script would be really nice indeed if possible.

 

I remember a while back I adapted a few vanilla peds to this mod, and they looked really weird in-game for some reason.

 

It's better to just wait for The_Hero to bring the Rim Lighting shader from the Xbox versions of III/VC to SA, that looks a lot nicer than normal mapping IMO.

I just adapted a couple. I did the airport lady in the opening cutscene. I also edited her texture to look less crappy. Then I did the navatsea cs tenpenny, and lspd officer. It only took three minutes to do each one, I might manually do more and just do this pack myself. How did it look weird in game for you?

It's hard to explain without a picture, and I didn't take any at the time :p

 

Try adapting the SWAT ped, I remember that one definitely looked weird in-game.

 

I will test out the peds you uploaded when I get home, if it's working fine on your end then I'm pretty sure I messed something up when adapting them

Adapted some more cutscene models, as well as the SWAT, and ARMY peds. CS models in this "part 2" includes: Pulaski, Hernandez, Cesar, Kendl, Smoke, Sweet, Ryder, and The Truth.

Turn off your antivirus, the antivirus thinks the files inside the archive are malicious, it happens a lot with script mods.

I have a problem. The Alpha maps break when you convert the .dffs to use normal maps. Is there any way to fix this particular problem or is it something out of our control? Switching Right to Render via RWAnalyze to the default settings fixes it, but I lose the ability to use normal maps.

3D modelling software if you want them accurate and sculpt them in. But any 2D application with a plugin for it will do.

What's the difference between this one and Ryosuke 839's Normal Map ASI?

One of my friends had written a cleo lighting system back in 2013 that I have been using till now. I will make an comparison.
