My actions broadcasted on the homepage - how to stop this?

"Furry_Monkey shagged a hooker"

I believe you can turn it off in the settings on the PS4, as it's not game-specific. It shows when you play new games, install new apps, etc..

I do like the fact that it shows uploads to YouTube, so you can scan that feed and see what your friends have uploaded and just click to watch it instantly. There are some nice features about it, but it can be intrusive without setting it up they way you want it.

that's just in game notifications, doesn't stop the updates on the social club page.

Nobody is talking about the Social Club...

I mis-read the initial post and wasn't aware this was ps specific.

It's in your privacy settings on PS4. YOUR activity will always show on YOUR PS4 landing page. Others do not see it depending on your privacy settings which can be set to "Only Me" or "No One" (I forget).

SniperPrincess

I don't have a PS4 personally myself, but I'm pretty sure there's an option. When you first (Right when you get the PS4) turn on the system, there are questions about privacy settings. If I'm not mistaken, I remember one being "Who can see your news feed?" Or something like that. I'm sure there's a "No one" or "Just me" option.

I really doubt anybody checks that sh*t.

I turn my ps4 on to game, not see what my friends have been playing or doing in single player recently, if I want to know that I'd ask.

I do. I like seeing what everyone is up to.

OP, simple steps:

1. Go to Settings

2. Select PSN

3. Privacy Settings

4. Prompted to enter your password

5. Select Sharing Your Experience

6. Select Activities

7. Select No One and confirm

8. You can now safely remove your tin foil hat
