Perfectionism and GTA Online's Personal Garages

Recommended Posts

Hey does anyone has blow endless amounts of money trying to get their garages to look good and have some type of pattern within them? For example, this is my garage layout.

1 6

2 7

3 8

4 9

5 10

Spots 2,7,4, and 9 have to be in grayscale, meaning shades of silver, grey, black or white.

The rest of the spots have to have a color, but the colors cannot repeat within the same garage.

Lastly the garage is broken into 2 section, the majority, and the minority.

The majority in my first garage (spots 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and 8) are cars without spoilers.

The minority in my first garage (spots 4, 5 ,9 10) are cars with stock spoilers or LSC added spoilers.

My second garage has these flipped.

Perfectionism is a cruel mistress, and to think I still haven't beaten Skyrim, or The Mass Effect Series. Damit! :facedesk: One day! One day...

I think you mean OCD, but nah.. I just own the best car in each class. I'm sure it's in some sort of order, size perhaps?

I thought it was OCD at first but as time went by I realised it only applies to video games and sh*t I lose.

Big vehicles in the back, bikes by the bike rack, any cars with same color can't be near each other

this^

If only I had space for bikes, saving those for my 4th apartment currently have

Weasel Apt 101,

Richards Majestic Apt 51,

Tinsel Towers Apt 42,

Eclipse Towers Apt 40, (in the future)

There's no 'perfectionism' to my garage. I put the cars I like in there. Big cars in the back, smaller cars and bikes up front. No patterns, no nothing. I am pretty simple about my storage methods.

I truly wish I didn't give a damn about the order, hopefully one day I'll get over this crap.

my main garage has all my "cool" cars, sport class in a rainbow counter-clockwise. 2nd garage is for the ballers i sell for spare cash, half side silver, half side black. 3rd garage is offroad/misc vehicles arranged by size

I remember the days when you bought a car and it stayed in its position no matter what you did. I think the more control I'm given over things the more I try to make them look outstanding and flawless. As if the way I treat them are a reflection of myself. Jesus, Giantsgiants must not give a damn about this game.

i dont keep my cars in any particular order or color code.

one thing i do is that i try to keep each car with a different color, but somehow some always slips through the cracks and end up with 2-3 cars being the same color... BLACK!

I call it being more Obsessive than anything else.

Garage 1 is Supers and my Stinger GT (favourite Sports Classic): Slots 1 to 9 are the Supers in descending order of price (does mean Adder is in Slot 1 but really, who cares if they lose an Adder).

Garage 2 is Assorted DLC Vehicles (less my 2 Elegies): Sorted so that moving from Slots 1 & 6 and back in pairs, Cars of a similar size are paired with each other Largest to Smallest (this primarily ensures my Motorcycles at the front are not blocked from view when I spawn into my Garage).

Garage 3 just has my Race Jester and Race Massacro in Slots 5 & 10 since I appear in this Garage right now.

Let me see if I can do this from memory

Jesus, some of you can be lame.

Maybe it's time to try another game if you're that worried about the arrangement of your virtual cars in your 3 virtual garages.

Cheers

Its more or less a psychological thing, doesn't really matter what game it is. "If I can organise something, I will" For some reason in my mind that played in the Crusader's voice from Diablo 3.

To get over it, you must force yourself.

Take your cars out to LSC and paint other colors.

Thanks for the advice, but at this point I almost have every car sorted out, plus I've been working towards these cars since online came out back in october 2 years ago. Moving everything around would seem like a waste.

My garages ain't much in the way of awe inspiring, none of my cars are particularly 'bold' aside from my banshee, which is yellow and black striped. The rest are darker colours.

Main Garage in Paleto at 4401:

Bison

Dubsta 6x6

Rebel (Clean)

Daemon

Phoenix

Secondary Garage in Tinsel Tower Apartment 42:

Adder

Corquette (Topless)

Tailgater

Z Type

Banshee (Topless)

Empty

Hearse

Jackal

Sovereign

Empty

House in Grapeseed:

Bobcat XL

So there's no real pattern of intricacy in my garages, I just do what I want on a whim with my cars.

I've organised on garage. One side has the cars I race in and the other had my bikes. The other garage is a mess full of cars I bought but never use (Dubsta, rhapsody, roosevelt). Thinking of buying a third garage out in the middle of nowhere and putting them there.

You sound crazier then, John Forbes Nash Jr.

Dude you may need help...im a perfectionist and completionist in both games and real life myself....but I'm not that damn nit picky about my garages....that's a little too much..

I tend to run vehicles (starting from the the workshop end) from big to small down the elevator side and from small to big down the other side. So each side matches each other in an opposing kind of way. As for colours and wheels I change them each few months, it's an ever evolving thing.

Number one rule in life, perfection is not static in time so there is no such thing as perfection at least not for any length of time.

No need to justify your reasoning for playing the game the way you want. That comment above yours is unnecessary, plain and simple. Cheers!

My main organization method probably applies to most people: big things in the back, small things in the front. I'm looking forward to posting mine later on.

I truly wish I didn't give a damn about the order, hopefully one day I'll get over this crap.

Story of my life.

Garage 1: All separate colors; ascending oder of cost; clustered by class

Garage 2: Some repeat colors allowed, just not the same shade; ordered by class and size

Garage 3: No rhyme or reason really, but no repeat shades

It honestly sucks if I want to induct a car into one of my first two garages, as the desired appearance must also jive with the standards of the garages to make the cut. I want to say I don't care how my garages look, but I'm really chained by my neurotic tendencies.
