PS2 and Xbox vehicles for PC

The Xbox vehicles have a load of problems when using together with SkyGFX, certain parts of the cars are white and there are some small texture problems. Nobody can figure out why, though...

Stallion trunks are white... I know it's been reported already, but is there any chance of a fix? I'm anticipating problems with the BF Injection now too; I haven't unlocked it yet.

Which game? PS2 or Xbox vehicles?

 

 

GTA III PC 1.0 (Surfman) with Xbox vehicles, SkyGFX, Aircraft, SilentPatch, 2DFX, and a bunch of other mods and scripts; I have been selective with my files though, not just throwing everything into the pot and hoping for the best.

 

After more playing, Stallion trunks have always been white, and after I imported the E3 Bobcat (with fuzzy dice!) the Mule decals began to show up only when they felt like it. Have not seen a Barracks or BF yet, but having said that, everything else is a-okay.

Has anyone ever made the blue NYPD (beta) police cars w/ the improved XBox vehicle models?

I tried editing the texture and carcols myself but it did not go well.

"Load with 'CDIMAGE MODELS\VEHICLES_PS2.IMG' in default.dat or gta_vc.dat."

 

Is there a specific place I should this in the dat file or does it not really matter?

Actually, with mod loader, couldn't I put that in a text file or something to have it work without editing the dat file itself? If so, could anyone show/tell me how to do it properly?

"zebra.txd" in the PS2 Vice City pack is corrupted. Vehicle will not load at all in game. Vehicle spawns fine without it.

 

Edit: This is when I load the .dffs and .txds directly through modloader. Haven't tried an actual install.

Well they NOT for example PC esperanto has glitched model (you can see set of light textures under front bumper) while on ps2 esperanto this glitch is not present but still thanks for the link :)

Wrong.

PS2 and PC Esperanto have exactly the same bug. The undamaged and damaged wings just have the texture placed differently there. I'll definitely update the one from the fixed vehicles.

By the way, you employed the pronoun "they", does that mean you have others vehicles in mind with a similar bug? if you have, report them in my workshop or PM.

When I install the xbox wheels, the rims on the right side of all cars are completely black.

Hm, good point. Now I think wheels are scaled for the other side and that doesn't work too well with normal matrices. I'll have to investigate but I'm currently not working on gta, so don't hold your breath.

Not really vc xbox vehicles are broken as f*ck while PS2 ones are not III xbox however has good xbox vehicles

Has anyone managed to convert the vehicle mod models? I've tried several things to no avail (using the original ps2 models and converting them using different command line options with convdff)

 

These are the visual issues that appear.

It happens with a lot of vehicles, not only with this one particullary. Isn't vehicle problem though, is the drawing order from the game. You can see the same thing happens in SA when looking to some grass or water area through a vehicle window.

 Dune's shadow in GTA:SA is messed up. There's one extra polygon in the shadow that ruins it. The stencil shadow that is.

 

More : I thought Hotknife's door and Ambulance's rear wheel were supposed to be fixed by PS2 models. Am I right? Can anyone provide any help?
