Which Muscle Car is the CURRENT All Around King?

I only own a Gauntlet and Dominator, and do all my dominating in the Gauntlet. I tricked out my Dom to look like Eleanor from Gone in 60 Seconds, but I prefer the stability of the Gauntlet for winning my Dune Boys Derby series races.

I was just reading another thread and got reminded about the spoiler effect update and how the Gauntlet doesnt have one. Should I buy a new muscle car? I like overall solid handling, and fast acceleration. Im a top skilled driver that can dominate in a Stingray in the rain. But good acceleration and decent handling wins races, not the fastest top speed or best grip car.

I believe the Gauntlet is the all around best muscle car for races, but I personally believe the Phoenix is king.

It is quick, but drifting is a little loose because the rear end tends to be light. But I really enjoy it.

I use the Buccaneer and win almost every single muscle race. There is no ''king'' as it's determined by the driver's skill, not the car's performance.

Yeah the Gauntlet used to be a beast a year ago. Things have changed though. The Blade and Dukes were introduced, both edging out the Gauntlet. And the Gauntlet has lost ground when spoilers started raising traction. It does not have a spoiler while the others generally do.

 

In short it depends a lot on your driving style. The Blade has fantastic accelleration and will often be the best choice in technical tracks, where it can exit out of corners at higher speed than the others. On long(ish) straight the Dominator will be faster. The Dukes is somewhere in between, and the option to pick when you are having trouble with the Blade and Dominator, both fairly tricky to control.

I own a Blade, Sabre Turbo, and Phoenix and I use the Phoenix the most for racing because though its prone to some brutal spin outs it just feels as if it has more agility and better acceleration than the other two. I feel like it handles like a slower sports car.

One reason the Gauntlet isn't so tail happy is because it's slower. Still makes it possible to win because it's so much more stable than pretty much any other muscle car; the Dominator's times aren't achievable if you spin every lap... I've not sold my Gauntlet and still use it on twisty tracks, but anything with decent length straights requires a Blade, Dominator or Dukes.

You need to put your mic on in a public lobby and squeak to everybody how bad you want those said cars, and ask if they can give you money to. It helps if you add them as a friend even before they answer with yes or no.

From experience, I would say the Gauntlet has the better control, and more traction, whereas the Vapid seems to be a little quicker.

I'm surprised a lot of people like the Duke. It gets speed but it's no good in a race with curves.

Just requires a different driving style. I find it quite capable on twisty tracks.

Sabre Turbo - Spawns in most areas of Los Santos

Buccaneer - South Los Santos near the Maze Bank Arena. East Los Santos, Cypress Flats.

Phoenix - Downtown Los Santos, Cypress Flats, Davis

Gauntlet - Airport, Downtown Los Santos... Most of LS to be honest.
