About the mod:

San Andreas Remapped, is a mod made by me Reyks that aims to increase the overrall variety and detail of the entire state of San Andreas by simply adding more objects to the map, the mod is still a Work in Progress wich means what you see now is far from the complete project. In this early release only a few areas of Los Santos are changed.

IMPORTANT: The mod is being built on the PS2 version of the map, due to the less amount of objects it allows for more creativity and freedom, only Los Santos is different between PC and PS2, the rest of the map is the same on both versions of the game.

If you wish to use San Andreas Remapped for any Mods/Projects please contact me first via PM for permission.

Progress:

- Los Santos: Work in progress

- San Fierro: Not started

- Las Venturas: Not started

- Country: Not started

- Desert: Not started

Installing the mod:

-STEP 1:

You MUST download the following mods before installing SA:Remapped, just follow the install instructions of each mod then go to step 2.
- PS2 map + map fixes by (if this isn't installed you will see objects inside objects)
- Open Limit Adjuster by the OpenLA Team (offers more stability by increasing the limits of the game)

-STEP 2:

Simply copy the "San Andreas Remapped" folder into the modloader folder and you're done.

This reminds me of how XB1 and PS4 got a remastered map with more props and fixed bugs.

Months ago I made a mod that patches bugs with the San Andreas map but the mod eventually died.

You can download the files from the link bellow and you can include them in your mod if you wish and there is no need for credits.

Don't know about the trailer park near CJ's House. You should go with something more "urban"

Yeah I was not sure what to place there actually, I kinda wanted to make something similar to the trailer park in VCS. We'll see maybe it will be changed to a construction site or something in the future.

Thanks, although I'm not sure if I'm going to include them in the mod, this project is only meant to add objects to the map and not fix bugs. The map fixes thread would be more suitable for these files imo.

I apologize for the lack of updates lately, I'm currently out of town wich means I have no access to the game atm.(typing this from my phone :S)

Don't worry the mod is not dead, and progress will resume once I'm back next week.

Version 0.2 Released! Download in the first post.

Not much really has changed in this version only some minor objects like mailboxes, generators and a few trees for the most part.

REMINDER: Don't expect updates very regularly as I'm doing this project in my free time and generally when I'm bored and have nothing else to do. Don't worry it will be finished some day, but progress will be slow.

EDIT: Also updated the install instructions, now all you have to do is copy the mod folder into modloader(version 0.2.2), and you're done.

Nice, I will give it a try when I reinstall SA. I will try to install it without modloader first (huehuehue), then with it, just to see the differences. ;)

God , i hate it when there's an update available on one of my favorite mods , and i can't touch my pc to test it :(

How come? Did it break, or something?

Its broken. Well , i guess I have to use that old laptop. Again :(

how about adding in new graffiti?

I know some modders on another forum who did some good Azteca Graffiti aswell as Ballas...

Not sure about that, if you mean the paintable graffiti/tags it requires IDE editing and it will most likely mess with save files. But if you mean adding new graffiti as objects, thats possible I just have to figure out how to add new objects into the mta map editor.

it would mostly involve editing the DFF and adding in extra textures to the TXD of the location you want to add graffiti to.. I could probably do some graffiti textures myself although I am not so good at modding the location's DFF...

Well to be honest a separate model only for the graffiti is better, since you can simply put it anywhere you want as a new object. But honestly if I'm going to add new models into the game I will focus on more "solid" stuff like the objects that were in Project San Andreas for example.

For now I want to finish the east side of LS with just vanilla objects, then later we shall see how things go ;).

Just a heads up, if you add new graffiti into the game then you won't be able to load a saved game.

Yeah that's why I'm not gonna add it, it's also a bit pointless if you think about it, 100 tags in LS is more than enough imo.

EDIT:

I know this mod is still in a very early stage, but if you think it deserves an award for Best Map Edit/Addition and/or Total Overhaul feel free to nominate it here: http://gtaforums.com/topic/765495-annual-awards-2014-nominations/

I haven't made any more progress on the mod sadly, since I was really busy with university stuff these last few months. I do plan on continuing it at some point, but I will probably only release the next version when I'm done with Los Santos, or at least a big portion of the map.

Can't say for sure when i'm going to do that thought, or even how long it will take :p.
