In the market for a new Sports car.

i used to have pretty good luck with my Coquette... Don't know what happened, but I can drive that thing for sh*t anymore.

I'm leaning toward a Massacro, maybe even the 9F... I also like the Furore.

This will be for racing almost exclusively.

Opinions?

Massacro race car should also do the job. Since you like the car I think that would be your best bet. Normal Massacro is also superb for racing, but the race car version is slightly better performance wise (minor difference)

Actually have a look at the pinned thread on this forum: http://gtaforums.com/topic/745785-best-fully-upgraded-cars-countdown/

And this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nQND3ikiLzS3Ij9kuV-rVkRtoYetb79c52JWyafb4m4/edit?pli=1#gid=0

Very helpful info there!

I'm not too interested in numbers. Going by the numbers, I wouldn't be undefeated in my Stanier. I'm more interested in what players think of the cars.

OP, have you tried to put on a spoiler and lower your Coquette's suspension? Also putting some high end wheels?
Because I can hold on my own against the racecars in my Coquette, It's a really good car.

Anyways, if you want another car, I'd go for the racers or the Elegy, that are very good cars.

Carbonizzare in the right hands can be outstanding. It will slide and turn in quick, but it will punish you with spinouts if you get careless. One of my favorites for twisty tracks. Races with long straights, I'd go for the Coquette. Both good.

Coquette has lower top speed than the Carbo.

Look guys, the Coquette is my favorite car in the game. But against competent racers, it doesn't stand a chance.

I always hated racing in my Coquette and I always liked the way the Jester looked so I bought the racecar version when it came out. It drives great, though I still find myself losing to the race car Massacro. Maybe it's just me. I don't regret it though, I love the way it feels and think it looks better than the Massacro.

For racing, The Elegy should be a no-brainer. That thing can beat supers

Given that it's free it really should be a no brainier, but I just can't handle it. I need a little bit of oversteer.

You need to get a Feltzer then. Or a Surano.

No spoiler but it has high end wheels and lowered to the max. Like I said, I used to be really good in it, but since switching to PS4 I just can't drive it like I used to.

Try adjusting the thumbstick sensitivity settings as it's not quite the same as on last gen. Also, adding a spoiler and fatter tires (not low profiles, so ignore that high end wheel suggestion) can help with the handling

Otherwise, try the Elegy RH8, Racing Jester, and Racing Massacro in single player.

The Jester is probably the easiest to drive though I prefer the way the Massacro handles, but the Massacro can feel a bit heavy at first.

I had a Coquette as my main racer on last gen, I think the absence of a spoiler is affecting its performance. It used to be one of the best, and it's good looking too. Shame it sucks now.

The 9F is also a good option.

Its very quick (fully upgraded, it's top speed is actually faster than some supers. I can outrun stock Zentornos in a straight line), AWD, and handles corners well (especially with a spoiler).

I've had mine a little over a year, and I still use it all of the time.

Definitely not the Furore for racing. Personally, I like the Jester race car.

The chance to win with an average car like Furore depends on skill. I keep hearing people talking about Furore being incredibly slow with horrible handling. This just shows you have no idea what you're talking about. Ever since the Furore came out, I kept on beating and owning all other sport cars in races, the majority of the time. Ever since, the festive update has come out, I've been coming in 1st place, a lot, against a whole lobby full of racecar versions of the Massacro and Jester. The Furore is under appreciated and underrated.

Anyways OP, the only sports cars that are way, way, way below average in performance of a sports car are the Futo and Penumbra (unfortunately). The rest are all ok, assuming you're a great driver. If you're currently not, and you want the "fastest" sports, then go with the jester, massacro or elegy. If you want for looks, then that is your own preference/choice. Furore, Schwartzer, Banshee, etc are all good and can rival with the jester, etc....

Massacro. I have one, but it's mainly for cruising as I don't race. No doubt it can beat most cars on the road though. It's one of the few cars I actually like to drive though so you might hate it.
