A mere 3.8% margin, by and large made possible by the demographic whom already have one foot in the grave, should not be able to determine the future of the United Kingdom.

ah once again the free speech of our most noble and brave posters is under threat from the nazi communist moderators on this once great video game forum

For some reason my view on the damage marijuana causes on the brain has severely changed.

Government mandated redistribution amonst other things has made the Scandanavian countries some of the best economically in the world.

Did wonders for the Soviet economy too, or so I'm told.

@Svip, ok, briefly restored British glory. Which is now at an all time low. Oh well, back to playing Victoria2 until Nige comes in and saves us. Toodles.

Please spend five minutes researching the difference between Stalinists and Social Democrats. About the same difference between them as there is between moderate Conservatives and Fascists.

Well, that took a pretty sharp nosedive.

"Australia seems to do this well"

No, we don't. Abbot's immigration policy can f*ck itself right off.

I've had relatives emigrate there and it was pretty difficult for them to get in. They only got in as they could show that they'd be self reliant and would not need hand outs from the state.

Thatcherites are scum pigs

In fact, I'd be happy with a Government who would just stop interfering with foriegn nations in matters that do not concern the UK.

Awesome reply, you've convinced me! You probably weren't even born during the Thatcher days so rely on the warped leftist media to misguide you.

You remind me of the so called "Reagan Democrats" who somehow think the politics of either Ronald Reagan or Margaret Thatcher helps the middle class. As others have pointed out, if you want to travel to America instead of going to your own blown out northern cities, come take a look at Detroit, Pittsburgh, and upstate New York to see how much union busting has helped make the countries better.

Australia seems to do this rather well, hopefully we get something similar.

Like a quarter of Australians were born overseas. British nationalists love to tout Australia's immigration policy, but they don't know the realities of the system, I think they just like the idea of putting asylum seekers in camps. I went to a high school where white Australians were a minority. By most accounts it's the second most multi-cultural state on Earth.

I don't know what the hell the economics of the soviet union have to do with anything, successful or not.

Jesus Christ, I didn't think there were any of you Soviet apologists left. The Party constituted a ruling class, so I'm not sure how anyone can claim the USSR was Communist.

Also there was a greatly successful Anarchist revolution in the Ukraine, but the Bolshies crushed it to maintain their own personal power, and to avoid having their warped version of Socialism undermined by an actual peoples' revolution. The USSR was simply indefensible- it was authoritarian, socially repressive, and they sent people to slave labour camps to be reprogrammed. What sort of "Socialist" supports these things?

I don't even understand your position. Are you saying that the Soviet Union was an effective means of transitioning to Communism? In which case, they had over half a century in which they did nothing but stagnate and become increasing corrupt. Or are you saying that the USSR had achieved Communism? Then I find it worrying that your ideal society involves class differences, slave labour and nuclear warheads pointed at the neighbours. Get your head straight.

Yeah well at least they had universal healthcare and "Abolished Homelessness". Can we say the same about any other country?

The Soviet Union definitely represented progress (and the fall of the Soviet Union represented significant regression, at least for Russia), I wouldn't deny that. It was a step up from feudalism. So was liberal democracy. And I'd rather have to keep my mouth shut under Stalin than have my tribe wiped out by deluded, unstable nutjobs obsessed with proving their own superiority to themselves, or be chained to machine as a child, not even allowed to go to the bathroom. Still completely indefensible.

The more I know about politics, the more I see how its rigged.

World bankers , jesuits , freemasons , have an agenda , and it doesnt matter which puppet they put in power, because they are pulling the strings and setting everything up to fulfil an agenda we are not meant to know anything about , but is nevertheless being put into place , chess piece by chess piece.

It all boils down to thesis , antithesis , and eventually synthesis.

Here's an Ashcroft poll I found recently, not sure how reliable it is but it's surely eye opening

Con 29%

Lab 28%

Lib Dem 9%

UKIP 15%

Green 11%

I'd never thought I'd see the day the Greens got anywhere near 10%! Imagine if our voting system was PR the seats would look like this:

Conservative - 189

Labour - 182

Lib Dem - 59

UKIP - 98

Green - 72

But under FPTP this will never happen, ironically despite the dramatically decreased popularity of Lib Dem, they get more seats :D

Thankfully the constituency systems f*cks them over somewhat. Their voter base is spread pretty widely across the country.

Well I think the SNP will damage Labour's Scottish party. I think UKIP will win a load of seats and Liberal's will become extinct. Conservatives may have to merge with UKIP. The intresting card the consertatives could use is Boris Johnson taking over from David Cameron. Hopefully Ed Milliband will be kicked out of leader of the labour party when they lose. It's an intresting time for politics.

I think Theresa May is the most popular to be new Tory leader, Boris is a close second though

Most of the people I know who hate the Tories would still vote for Boris as PM just for sh*ts and giggles. I know I would. Mainstream British politics has a severe deficit of crazy that isn't accompanied by some weird fundamentalist or extremist perversion.

Think those stiff upper lips need some more plain 'merica talkin'?

Could you imagine him trying to negotiate between a couple of warmongering Middle Eastern dictators though? Better than Farage I guess.

I'm not sure I seriously buy the Boris Johnson schtick. Politicians for a long while have understood the charm of a clownish figure. I'm not doubting that the man has a level of buffoonery around him and he fully aware of it, but the joke would wear thin very quickly when public services are smashed and/or privately outsourced.

I'm sure he has admitted previously that his whole persona is an act? A very entertaining act at that. He's not really the type of person who I would like in power though. I have read that he may be sympathetic to European federalism which is kinda cool.

Broadcasters have put forward new proposals for the TV election debates which would include the SNP, Plaid Cymru and the Greens.

It comes after David Cameron refused to take part unless the Green Party was included.

The BBC and ITV would stage debates involving the Conservatives, Labour, Lib Dems, Greens, UKIP, SNP and Plaid.

Sky News and Channel 4's plans to host a head-to-head between Mr Cameron and Ed Miliband remains unchanged.

The move comes after discussions between the broadcasters following a political row over the proposed format for the debates to be held during the election campaign.

The initial proposals only included the Conservatives, Labour, the Liberal Democrats and UKIP.

Source: BBC News

Apparently NI Unionists aren't happy now over this, they want a place, I find it weird how Plaid and SNP are involved considering they are only reverent to respective parts of Britain, it would of been more suitable to have their own regional debates on BBC One Scotland & Wales.

But then again, it'll be brilliant car crash TV, which is all that matters to the broadcasters, ITV in particular
