Acehilm
Danger lurked the corridors As silence broke the seasons fall 20th of April to late December Is a time we feel saudade to remember The sense of unity and pure, true beauty So stay true to the bonds and don't act with mutiny Because we can't party like it's 1999 Arid blood stains are art to the sickened minds Black trench coats and riddled souls Burn the innocence of youth like purgatories coals So they laid spread-out upon the library floor They ended each other with a cry of no cause They say death takes you to a better place but I honestly doubt it Death to the youth are the words and they shout it. Ziggy455
We're back into this again, and you know the drill. From what I'm reading, in my head I'm getting the image of a school shooting? Something is very vivid and visceral. I can see the bloodstains up the corridor, the screams, the tactical clothing, and that date, the 20th April. I'm a little rusty but if I recall it was the Columbine shooting. It's quite poetical, and they say poetry is either beauty or death, and from what I'm reading it's a mix of both. Seems like there's regret here, like their deaths and beyond were not the free-ride or escape from the consequences they deserved for murdering students. You are a very good poet--I always get strong images, always close to the source material.
