Snack/Health Delay

Hey!

 

A couple/few updates ago, I began to experience a delay when popping down snacks while taking cover, (you know, locked to a wall). I used to get my health immediately, and as fast as I could spam the button. Now it takes about seven button presses before my health bar moves. A bit inconvenient at times.

 

I just assumed this was another "feature" R* added during that particular update. But recently, I happened to mention it to somebody, and they said they always begin to get their health immediately. Then I asked a few more people, and I seem to be the only one experiencing this delay. Then today, I played next gen on my roommate's PS4, (I have a PS3), and got health immediately. Something is clearly wrong.

 

So, the first thing I thought of is that it might have to do with a setting, even though as far as I remember, I never changed mine. But, I can't find any setting that would seem to have anything to do with that.

 

Anyone else experience this? Is there some way to fix/change it?

The same delay happens to me but not too often to bother me. I think the cause is lag like the lag at times for taking cover. The cover lag does bother me as it can be fatal.

 

Playing missions is where i experience cover lag and snack lag. Also in missions attempts to bring up the menue that offers snacks while driving will often be gimpy and change the camera instead of providing the menue. Playing missions can also produce the lag you may have experienced when exiting a vehicle. That is the goofy hesitation that sometimes will occur just after exiting the vehicle and before your characters responds to your contoller.

Once the initial delay is over, it will move my health bar just as quick as I can press the button. I don't think it has anything to do with aiming, or not aiming. It is 100% consistent, it always happens each time I open the snack menu.

 

Cover Lag? I haven't heard of, or experienced that, as far as I know. How does that work?
