Should I get GTA IV or Vice City?

Recommended Posts

GTA:VC is definitely closer to the 'classic' principles of GTA, adding to the GTAIII engine, plus it's doused in '80s nostalgia. It will take some time to get used to the pace of the vehicles and player because everything happens much faster (e.g. running, snappy handling and car speeds) than in any of the newer GTAs.

GTA:IV was a cutting edge game when it came out, but the graphics and surroundings are a bit underwhelming once you are used to GTA:V. In terms of characters and storyline though, the game defacates all over GTA:V. The cars have very soft suspension compared to GTA:V but once you get used to it the cars feel very 'alive' and rewarding to drive around the city streets.

VC is still an amazing game and of course a classic, but I think you'd get frustrated on a technical front if you're used to playing GTA V. GTA IV is much closer to GTA V in that regard having cover, better shooting, swimming etc.

I agree with the sentiment you should get both, but if you're only planning on buying one I'd take GTA IV any day.

Well, I can get GTA IV for $19.99 for PS3 on the PSN Store, but I can also get GTA III and Vice City for $3 together on the App Store, so I will probably get both.

No,no,no.Not the mobile version.
