I wouldn't have pre-ordered GTA5 and played upon release if I knew I would be waiting 500+ days for heists online

being a devout Rockstar supporter since I was 5 with the release of GTAIII (I know, great parenting right) I feel incredibly let down that my favorite company has fumbled this

Well I 100% disagree. I feel V surpassed all previous GTA's and I am confident GTA VI will surpass V.

Don't get me wrong, it's definitely one of the greatest games Rockstar has created. I had a blast completing the story three times, but when we're online, we're so limited to what can and cannot be done. And with Rockstar being so tight lipped about every little detail, it's getting stale pretty fast, and has been.

 

The "free" DLC is honestly just cut content to keep the lifespan of GTA Online running until the following GTA is announced and released.

 

If they keep it up, GTA VI isn't gonna be much different regarding us being disappointed.

No the game wasn't marketed around the online heists,in fact we only saw a short clip of the online heists. You got GTAV,you got a game with more than enough content,and you still whine,I wish Rockstar would start being like ubisoft or EA so you'd see what a bad company is...

But then again,you will probably drive R* into ruin,and people complain about the YouTube clickbaiters...

I hope we have some leeway in how we execute heists. I know rockstar wants to go for maximum cinematic effect, but I'd like to storm that carrier with two rhinos being transported by cargobobs. just drop them on there and let them loose. Then the cargobob pilots steal the jets.

also the first thing I ever heard about GTA5 was that it would be heist based following the love of the three leaf clover mission in GTA4



anyway more on topic, are we assuming that the same amount of content will be released on old consoles as current?
I would hate for half the cool stuff in the trailer to not come to PS3/X360

V is good, but San Andreas was better overall, especially when you factor in all the little things it had that GTA V doesn't even include like being able to to get fat/skinny/muscular, eat at restaurants, hydraulics, dance competitions, a jetpack, casino/gambling, hydra jets, and other things V can't seem to handle for some reason.

 

Yes, V has a lot of incredible content but most of the newer options pale in comparison to what they were able to accomplish in SA and for some reason didn't bother to bring over to V.

The "it could be worse" train of thought only really works when you have no choice in the matter. If V WAS worse, people could have just not bought it. But it could also be significantly better.

You have to look at the release date as well. SA was ridiculously amazing, especially for a 2004 game. Compared to the impact SA or III had, V is nothing. And personally, even IV meant more to me at the time than V ever will.

They've already used the yacht.

This isn't only about SP objects.

I thought the singleplayer alone was worth 60 bucks and the multiplayer despite its numerous flaws, still beats the one in GTA IV for me(IV Online had better sandbox elements, but that's about it). So even if the online heists are still not out, I'm happy to have pre-ordered the game.

We have to remember that SA didn't have multiplayer(except for a mod). All of the effort during development was put for the singleplayer.
