QuackinAColdOne
I remember my dad had a Chevy Deluxe which was from the early 80's. God that truck was great, until it stopped running. Edited January 3, 2015 by gagemb9918

Half the time the back end of my truck sticks 5 feet out of a parking space because they all seem like they're designed for compact cars, and my truck isn't nearly as big as any SuperDuty. Killerdude
If you get a truck with a crew cab and a long box, You will NOT fit in any parking spaces. DriveLikeAViking
79'Blazer4x4
^that's why it has to be lifted so you can just park on top of other cars instead of worrying about fitting in the space or not. visionist, Killerdude, DriveLikeAViking and 1 other

*MURDOC*
If you get a truck with a crew cab and a long box, You will NOT fit in any parking spaces. My truck is almost 20 feet and I fit in most spaces fine, but I guess the extra length of the full size second cab as opposed to the extended cab would make things a bit more difficult. Carlover325
In Europe, when you have a camper, you tow a small trailer with a regular sedan. In North America, you hop behind the wheel of your heavy-duty diesel truck and tow a huge camper with panels that slide out to make it even bigger: DriveLikeAViking and visionist

Some motorhomes are even bigger. Personally I don't see how you can even call it camping with one of those. More like taking your second house for a stay in the wilderness(or campsite). I was just being sarcastic because my car is only 4.3 metres long (around 14 feet) and still hangs off the end of many parking spaces in this country. I often take the handbrake off and manually push the car as tucked in as far as it will go to prevent (or at least minimise) dings and scratches from other parkers. Considering it's about the same length as a 3 series (AKA an executive 'compact') I don't know how people with full-sized cars cope. I know my dad's SUV is just completely scratched all over after a decade of use. I always told him to do it up like a drug dealer's car so people would think twice before undertaking any reckless parking maneuvers around it, but he didn't take to the idea. *MURDOC*
Well, you gotta remember that I live in the U.S., land of the fried and home of the Whopper. A lot of our lots (lol) are made to accommodate larger vehicles and larger people. I find a lot of really narrow spots though, because f*ckers don't know how to lay out lines and feel that they'll at some point need space at their grocery store for 8,000 vehicles. Carlover325
For some it's still not enough. That truck would easily fit in just one parking spot, those spots are pretty damn big. They even have the double lines that allow for more space between cars. That guy just parked like a major douchebag. 79'Blazer4x4
For some it's still not enough. That truck would easily fit in just one parking spot, those spots are pretty damn big. They even have the double lines that allow for more space between cars. That guy just parked like a major douchebag. I think all parking spaces should have the double lines that separate them. Some are just stupid because they're hardly big enough to fit a car into and they're right next to each other, leaving no space between vehicles to open doors. It seems like they do it to make more parking spaces because, as MURDOC said, they feel that at some point they'll need spaces for 8000 vehicles. As for this truck, I'm not defending them because it could've been them who parked like an ass on purpose. However, it's easy to judge and say this person parked like an ass when there's a good possibility that they parked there earlier when the parking lot was full and the only spot available was here between two other people who had parked horrible, forcing the truck to park between them. Therefore when the original bad parkers left it leaves the truck looking like they're the asshole. Of course this is a hypothetical situation, but it's a possibility. I've had to do a sh*tty parking job a couple times because the only free space was between two idiots who don't know how to park.
