Froody
How can you really price a game you haven't played yet? It'll be more interesting to see peoples opinions a week or so after release or when/if some decent mods are made for the game. Zer0w5
Let's see a game that is going to be endless fun, hell yeah I'd pay my money for it. Edited January 11, 2015 by Zer0w5
Kampret
I changed my mind completely. This sh*t no longer deserves $60. Hell it no longer deserves $30. T2 can suck it for delaying the game, JUST for financial strategy.
TheDeathRises
Let's see.. Countless hours of fun, (most likely) great optimization, free DLCs... Yeah, I think 60$ is okay. Then again, it's also about 1.5 years old already. I'd say drop to 50$ or 45$
C-h-a-r-l-y
I buy it only for 60 Euro if the game is perfectly optimized and there are no issuses to start and play it and they do not force us to have a permanent internet connection, what will not happen, so i think its gonna be 30 Euros or less. f*ck it! TheTechPoTaToCHIP
Well, I'd say yes and no. If you look at it from the consumer standpoint, it's kinda sucky since the game already came out 2 years ago and again a couple of months back. But looking at it from a developer/publisher's standpoint, it kinda makes sense. You are not buying the exact same game re-sold to you 2 years ago. You are technically buying a brand new game. There is more development and assets that went into this one and it would make sense to justify the costs and sell it full price. If the PC version came out the same time as the last gen or current gen releases, the price would be justified by both parties but just because it comes out later, it instantly means a price drop. That would be the case if the PC version came out 2 years but no, this is the first time it ever came to this platform, hence technically being considered a new game. Sunrise Driver
$5-10 max Game itself is less enjoyable than GTAs before. And it's 1,5 year old port. SilverRST, LawasDS and Gomes_andres
Yogensia
It is in my opinion. If you have already played it and own it, instead of so much exclusive stuff, as a loyal costumer you should get a discount towards the new versions, that would be a nice touch. But if you haven't played or don't own it i don't see the problem. In my case it's just been a longer wait than those that played in on X360/PS3; as long as the wait is worth it and it doesn't turn out to be another garbage port like GTAIV was, i'll be happy to pay full price. Problem is, until launch i won't know is this is the case or not. Edited January 14, 2015 by Yogensia
patrikje
Bought the PS3 version for €60, so €50 for a pc version that is updated and gets delayed 2 weeks before release, no, I do not think the PC version is worth €50.
LukashenkOO7
PC version that released so f*%n long after old gen version release all these DLSs isn't worth more than $30. Rockstar should not wonder why nobody buy its 1,5 year game port that costs $60. LawasDS
GrindoLindo
no other pc game can let you do the stuff you can in gta. pfft to games like far cry 2, 3, 4 with their limited openworlds, more for showing off visuals than actual gameplay. i think gta has always been worth it, well on pc. it's always a rip off on consoles, which i why i don't own one. i found games like far cry 2, 3 & 4 all pretty limited on what you could do, too scripted, boring missions, crap characters, repetitive enemeis and copy paste scenary. (damn QTE's) camp villians. didn't like assassins creed 1 etc either, all the sneaking around and climbing over and up stuff all the time and repetitive sword fights quite enjoying watch dogs though, feels a lot like gta, obviously not quite the same level of freedom and things to do but it's pretty good, like person of interest the game lol....(love that show) didn't like just cause 1 or 2, found the grapple thing got old and the game was too cartoony arcade like, nice visuals though...think i prefer games based on realistic settings more, seem to be more immersive or i'm just picky..... i think gta v will be worth it just for the size of the world. everything else will be a bonus. although....£30-35 on pc would be ideal. LiniArc
Obviously pretty high.. Gta IV in India had price 400Rs and Gta SA and Gta VC around 350Rs. And suddenly Gta V 2500Rs. According to me it should have been near 1700Rs as most of recent latest games are. Although as I love Gta Games too much I will purchase it the second time for sure. 1000pia
R$60,00 would be a fair price, but $60,00 is definitely NO! NEVER! I would never pay ++R$120,00 on a delayed and downgraded game in order to avoid making the weakiness of the next gen upon the PC look too much evident, this is the reason I don't pick up downgrUbisoft games. GTA V PC is downgraded aswell, the lack of trees that were present on the first trailer and the firsts artworks proves this. se fosse uns 50tão eu até comprava, mas esse vai ser o preço do camelô acredito que vai sair por uns 129 no mínimo, como a busca vai ser monstruosa a lei da oferta/procura vai agir podendo subir pra mais de 149 prefiro pegar essa grana e ir num privê you americans cannot complain because 50~60 local currency in brazil was the black market price of IV (it was 4-dvd discs)

The Algerian
Production-Value/Replayability/Fun This is the ratio by which I mesure a game's "fair price". So to me, 60$ for GTA V is entirely fair. Don't like it? Don't buy. If you won't vote with your wallet, the least you could do is stop complaining. - Uuuh, it's a 1,5 years old game. - So? Is it unplayable now? Are the controls schemes outdated? Are the graphics horrendous? No. So what's the difference?

Ozu
fuq yeah just give me the god damn PC version .... seriously, you cannot expect them to charge you less than 60 bucks for one of the top 5 games in 2014 (I expect it to be one of them even in 2015) keep in mind how many people will get the game on PC. It's definitely better to spend money on a game like this than on FIFA, you will have fun for quite a while with it. However, nobody can guarantee you a modder-free gaming experience on the long run (GTA IV?) What the hell? Why would you or anyone want a "modder-free" gaming experience? What is wrong with mods? I bet you wan't this site to burn http://www.moddb.com/ . Along with MTA, SA-MP, LCPDFR, Counter-Strike and hundreds of thousands of others. jatiger13
GTA V is a year and a half old (September 2013) but only now (January 2015) is R* releasing the PC version. Is charging $60 for a 2013 game justifiable? If you buy it for PS3/360, then it's a 2013 game. The PC version is however a 2015 game. So yes, it's fair of them to charge $60. Furthermore, fairness is rarely taken into account when pricing things.
No1 Unicorn Hunter
I think 60 is a fair price to pay for GTA 5. Great and long story and excellent replay value! What's not fair is paying 60 for a game that's completed in just a few hours with little to no replay value. That's what I'd call an absolute unfair ripoff!! LankanComrade
For the amount of content that is given to you on day one and the free DLC, 60 dollars is acceptable. GTA offers way more than many games of similar pricing.
