And Early 2015 several games will have release date like the Withcher 3, and its a new game, and for 49.99 Euro, and you can buy on sale for 39,99 right now on steam. But if you want to play GTA 5, you have to pay what Rockstar want to get out of this hype. And if someone Think its ok or a steal for 60$ dont really matter, non of them are destroying the global market. I could wish for 40$ but its not gonna happen, and since I like GTA and I like what Rockstar create, If I want to play on launch I have to pay 60 bucks for it simple as that. That isn't exactly grounds for making it cheaper, though. I feel bad for anyone partly basing their purchase of video games for the stories in the first place.. Would you rather buy FIFA 13, FIFA 14 and FIFA 15 for the same (it's even more than gta v where i live) price? or buying GTA V on PC once (if you didn't buy any console version) or twice (if you bought the old ps3 version)? I'll take GTA V over some recycled same football with minor player model change and power Any day! Yes It's unfair to pay 60 on one and a half year old game But it will worth it when it's compared to Sport Games or The latest Call of duty games. Kinvarus Posted January 10, 2015 Share Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) Personally it all depends on how you look on it, on the one had the original GTA V came out on 360 and PS3 a year and a half ago, but the PC version is the next gen version that was still in development and has new content as well as the first person mode, which if you play the entire game in that perspective, especially if you played the original last gen version, that alone will give you an entirely new experience playing the game so it all depends on how you choose to look at it I think Besides it could be worse, I am a huge ice hockey fan and like ToyGT said above me listing the sports games, perfect example. This year was the first year the NHL series went Next Gen on the XBone and PS4 so they focussed on that one, but they released NHL 15 on the 360 and PS3 as well, at $60. The only thing that had changed from NHL 14 was the commentary! No gameplay changes, updates or graphic improvements whatsoever. Now look the 2013 GTA V and look at the XBone, PS4 and PC version in comparison. At the end of the day it's up to each person to justify the cost. For me I still have the 360 version but I'm gonna be getting the PC version the day it comes out because having seen the graphic enhancements, new content, the first person view, GTA Online and add to that the Modding Community on PC which will no doubt come out with some awesome stuff for the game eventually, that's enough for me to justify paying $60. If this is the case, the price is too low even haha. I mean people pay millions to have a boring painting, while this piece of art rockstar created, is only 60 bucks! But then again, in some parts of the world 60 bucks is a whole lot so it's all relative. Besides that, isn't it your own choice to buy a game on multiple platforms? Nobody is forcing you.
