Is anyone else hating the snow?

I think it's fun. I'm from MN, so I'm well acclimated to driving in adverse weather conditions.

 

Altho, I did dip my Hydras wing in the ocean when I lost all sense of direction...survived tho, with a smoking aircraft.

Four days of silliness out of the whole year, split into two sets of two days even?

Must the game always be 100% the exact same, so you can do the exact same things you do every other day of the year?

Yeah i love it too. Fränken stange was kind of challenging on it, but with anything else I've been sideways everywhere, all the time. You can't hang fränk from ditch to ditch, it's so long and rear fenders and tires are like hooks.

 

Edit: it was still a blast and when you get it right, it's a reward.

A low res picture just doesn't do the snow justice.

That's the thing about the snow, you can take good looking pictures and it looks better compared to other weather types, such as sunny or cloudy.

 

Rain and snow make good pictures is all I say. One of a few times Snapmatic/Rockstar Director has its uses.

Snow should be a permanent option. Choose to join a snowy or non-snowy session.

As much as I like the snow, that just wouldn't fit with the South California feel of South San Andreas, freak snow days happen, even in LA, they had light snow and hail in Burbank in 2011, in 2007 they had a "light dusting of snow" in Malibu and West LA, the last reported snow in Downtown LA was in 1963 and is described as "trace amounts", the last snowstorm was in 1949, while only light snow was reported Downtown (less then an inch) some other parts of the city got over a foot, but it's rare, and when it does arrive there's very little of it, 4 days a year is fine, I wouldn't mind a week of it either honestly, but beyond that, you'd ruin the feel of the place.

 

Even Liberty City would have at best 3 months of snow a year, and it is currently the most northern city featured in the series, if it's roughly in the same spot as NYC.

 

What you want is the GTA equivalent of Anchorage, eeh...Harbor City I'd guess, or some local name for the place like Dgheyaytnu, it would have 9 months of snow a year.

It seems like people can't adapt. We have snow for 4 days out of the year, and instead of doing something different that actually would be fun in the snow, people play the same missions (like trying to do a setup flying fighter jets over the ocean with no landmarks and no horizon in a snowstorm) and blame the snow rather than their choice of activities.

While this is not totally true, as there are drivers who can preform well while driving in snow, even in game, for the majority of the population, both in game and in real life, when those flakes start falling.....all bets are off...

For the most part...yes.

 

 

Most drivers on the game are usually the ones that prefer to use pedestrians and building as brakes, and think still the Adder is the best car in the game. So I can understand why.

 

But there also happens to be the small minority that can actually drive. That aside, I still don't like the snow and never have, for various reasons. It's just annoying that the mindset in this thread is that if you don't like the snow, you're like most other players. Yikes.
