They should just add it to the in game weather cycle and just make it really really rare, I think 1/100 (1%) would be good odds for snow.

Honestly, I am completely amazed at how adding the Snow texture completely changes the look and feel of the game...Given the weather changed to Snowing during the Deathmatch I was playing (therefore the game can handle this change while Player's are in the Session), I only wish R* would add this as a Weather option for Jobs.

I like it but I don't want it to stay. Its not fitting for LS and it lacks colour. Id love to have a snowy area though, or a snowy map addition. Like Ludendorf

To be honest, I really like it. Too bad it's a once-a-year thing. I didn't get to enjoy it during Christmas/New Years of 2013 because of the ret­arded timeouts/lost connections that plagued the game back then. Wish R* would push it through at least once a week (for instance, every Sunday or something similar).

It's definitely visually pleasing, but omfg doing missions with RWD cars is a nightmare. I can't count the number of times I almost rage quit, not because the mission was going bad but because my f*cking car can't climb a small rock it got stuck in cause of the snow. So many other incidents that delayed missions all due to snow. While it definitely changes the dynamic of Online, I'm glad we only get it 4 times a year.

If there was an animation to make the snow yellow, it would be used 100% of the time by the sophisticated GTA0 player base. Another opportunity that Rockstar missed. Maybe next year

We did a solid two hour off road drive tonight in the snow. Nice and slow and simulated. The snow coverage and collection upon our vehicles was awesome.

 

I sure hope it's around tomorrow so we can do some more trails.

Learn to drive first, it's not mush it all the way down and steer. it ins't hard at all to drive any car on the snow.

While I've taken a bit of a break from racing while the snows here, I don't hate it. In fact, I quite like finding out which of my cars drives the best in snow - so far I'm favouring the stratum.

 

I would be good though if R* could make the off road tyres add a little more traction or have something like a snow-chains option.

 

But then the snow won't be here for long so no big deal.

It's a nice difference although can be frustrating at times. It's only a couple of days though so you're not gonna struggle or miss out on racing for too long.

You just need to learn to drive OP, the cars grip TOO well in this snow.

 

I for one am going to really miss it as I love offroading and rallying and sliding my car everywhere which is hard to achieve in a satisfying way without snow. It also felt like a whole new city to me as well which I loved.

You nailed it with this reply. Really brought a new feel to the environment. I'm really bummed this only happens for like 2% of the year.

I had a funny thought while driving in the snow (gta obv). Some kid might try driving in the snow in real life and thanks to gta theyd be totally misled to how much snow affects driving and theyd get in a crash. Which would mean gta really does negatively affect children.

snow has only happened three times and NO! i f*cking hate the snow because you know it won't last long so why get use to the white stuff, it's already fade away and you're back in sunny LS, wishing for it to snow again

 

why cannot it be an option to enable snow whenever we want it to snow?
