I've been hearing from a few people saying that the Dinka Thrust's speed has been nerfed and is no longer the fastest land vehicle in a straight line, is this really true? I just did a test run to make sure but, I don't know if it's just the snow affecting its speed or did it actually get nerfed/patched. Can anyone here confirm this? I would find out on my own but, I HATE this snow. LOL

by my knowing there were already several false ocasions when people claimed cars got nerfed or buffed....like the jester, elegy carbonizare, buffalo....

thing is, the only buff and nerf proven cases were when the z-type suddenly got a boost so insane it turned into some slow cumbersome pricy car into the top car in the sport classic class

then they also gave the sandking 4wd......and then all that got kinda set back to the old ways because of some patch but then it got fixed again

Strange, my Bati was faster than my Thrust by 12 seconds on a over 3 mile long track. I remember the Thrust used to be the fastest land vehicle while doing a wheelie. I don't know if the snow has anything to do with the speed or was it actually nerfed.

 

who-dat, what is this "wheelie glitch" you're speaking of?

I'm not talking about the turbo bug being fixed. The cars in best gen are programmed to only go about 120 mph, whereas the cars in last gen go about 160 mph.

This is false. I don't know where people are getting this from.

 

Lap times are the same on both old gen and new gen on speed tracks like Long Haul. Top speed is exactly the same.

I am not trolling lol. That video was made when Turbos were still bugged. They didn't patch it until the Festive Surprise.

 

That youtuber was mistaken. He wasn't racing a top speed track anyways.

I'm not making this sh*t up, if you were on the forum the last few weeks, it was the subject of many a thread. It might have been the turbo bug, it might have actually been programmed that way idk.

Not to mention that just TWO POSTS above yours, I linked a youtube video. However, as I have been informed, that video is not true, because at the time the turbo bug was running rampant all over the interwebs.

It's all good. There is a lot of confusion about the vehicle speeds. The turbo bug, and the speedometers have really thrown people for a loop. I personally don't think the Speedos are correct at all and are just for looks.

 

The current lap times don't lie however, cars seem to be very close if not exactly the same on new gen.

I've been playing on nextgen, and I can't notice a real difference between lap times. Of course, I hadn't played much since after the festive update (due to the turbo bug) so that's where my information got mixed up.

I've been on these boards daily, this is the first I've seen of someone claiming cars are slower on new-gen than old-gen (which makes ZERO sense, as new-gen is obviously more powerful). *see edit*

 

Also, as you have acknowledged, your sauce is bad, like wrong, false, gross, will give you food poisoning. You should find some better sauce before you start telling others you've got good sauce.

*edit: the turbo bug was well known about, including by me. I do not consider a bug to equate to top speeds being 40mph different. Also, WHERE did you find those numbers, that old gen was 160 and new is 120, or did you just estimate that part?

Yes next gen is much more powerful than last gen, but given with the fact that next gen is experiencing a lower draw distance than last gen right now, I wouldn't rule out that rockstar has not entirely harnessed the power or next gen. As for the numbers, those were the numbers found by fellow forum members. As I had no way of testing that at the time, I had to go by their (false) information. I apologize for the disinformation I have given you.

I've literally had my xb360 running gta on HDMI 1 and my ps4 running gta on HDMI2 ,to show some friends IRL the differences, and we only saw improvements....draw distance being one of the improvements we saw.

 

Yes, I realize there is a bug involving sniper rifles and whatnot, but the overall draw distance is MUCH better on new gen.

Yes, I realize there is a bug involving sniper rifles and whatnot, but the overall draw distance is MUCH better on new gen.

Yes. The sniper rifle bug is what I'm talking about. I found on my xbone that the draw distance isn't that big of a difference. But then again, my TV is not the best for gaming, and I just can't see it very well.

I paid $300 for a vizio 1080p 120hz refresh in the summer, 32" is plenty big enough for a gaming tv.

It had a crazy top speed when doing a wheelie. Other than that it sucks. It's not very good for racing. Doesn't handle well.

Motorcycles go faster when you do a wheelie, been like that since day 1.
