Greetings Forumaniacs! Another musically themed poll derived from my curiosity of how others play GTAO.

Last night, I realized that my style of GTAO play has dramatically changed since the early days, over a year ago.

I used to be tentative, and concerned about getting myself killed in the game. Jobs, cars, and exploring were my game.

Now, though, as soon as I hit the street, I enjoy the charge-in and attack style of play. Low-levels cry when I come in blazing, while high-levels resort to name-calling.

This style of gameplay can often take a boring, apartment filled session into a frenzied, all-out session of chaos, which I find much more fun that seeing white blips just sitting around not moving.

So, if you care to share, how has the level of aggression in your gameplay changed, if at all, since you first began in GTAO?

(Legal note: Yes, @Girish and @Ciaran, I used your Search feature but found squat on this topic. If there's another thread like it, feel free to direct this one toward it. Thanks bunches! :)

Looking forward to any responses. Cheers!

LOL at you're poll man and that bombastic option perfectly suits my characters. Im laidback and cool until someone pushes me and then i become the predator.

That's how I've played since day one, I have much more fun raising hell in the open city than doing missions, deathmatch, etc. I only do those for money.

Basically, if I see anyone close to me, Ill go after them and hope they hit back, I also search the map for the area that has the most players and go there to see if I can start an all out war.

I do however try not to bully lowbies, unless they attack me first, then I might kill them until they quit the session or I get tired, depending on my mood.

I used to feel that way, but "lowbies" often target me when I'm the highest level in the session. Some are relentless and it's frustrating, following me and blowing up my pv's without provocation.

Now, I do not discriminate.

I do admit, though, that if someone's demanding attention on their mic, they get first priority. :)

Don't start nothin', won't be nothin'. The second you fire a single round, especially at my friends, I'm coming down hard until you run away. Otherwise, I'll just pass you on by.

Now, if you're the special type of coward to run someone down or use the back of your zentorno to hide, I'm chasing your ass down until you leave the session.

Basically, I'm far more likely to just irritate the **** out of someone than go through the effort of chasing them across the map. With a lot of GTA$, I will happily just sit and wait and watch for someone to go AFK and then send in the mugger, again and again and again if I feel like it. Nothing better than being irritated by someone and then getting them for $10K and watching the little red circle become the larger red circle as the mugger has taken a vehicle and gotten away.

Personally, I completely pick-and-choose my battles in free roam. Free roam to me, if you don't try to make any money, might as well just be an arcade game where you have to keep dumping in quarters - it's just a money vacuum to get into endless PvP battles. That doesn't mean that I don't get into battles, but for me it's really looking for a situation where I have a good "set-up" (usually to troll) and then going from there and if I get someone, it's on to the next one, I'm not going to sit there and get into a lengthy battle. People, predictably, either want a 1-on-1 battle (no, cause ain't nobody got time for that, nor do I give a F) or are waiting by my apartment (if you do that, I will mug you first and then put a bounty on you and will watch you outside because I own apartments that have a very clear view of the garage specifically for the purpose of seeing who's outside.)

Additionally, I'll throw bounties around left and right. If I sense that someone's trying to follow me, bounty. I'll just spin the car around and destroy their PV and not have to pay for it because they had a bounty.

If someone puts a bounty on me, great, I'll just take their money (nothing better than when I get a bounty that someone had and then they put a bounty on me and I'm just gone with it) and go to invite only. I'll do something else while waiting it out and can probably make $50-100K during the time selling a couple of Dubsta II's, delivering an HPV or two and getting an armored truck or two.

The greatest thing is that everyone uses $9K bounties when $1K (which is all I do) gets the same result. I put a $1K on someone, they put a $9K on me, wait, profit.

I NEVER, EVER put more than a $1K bounty on someone. Why do you have to?

As for people being upset with me going to invite only, I really couldn't care less. This is a great game, but it's a lot more fun when you have more money and I'll take whatever money I can get. That's about looking after my entertainment, I don't care if someone else isn't entertained because they can't chase me for 48 minutes.

Lastly, I used to run to the sub when I had a bounty, then would sit there bored as a MFer for 48 minutes, aside from the occasional annoying D-bag who would spend tens of thousands worth of ammo trying to depth charge me for a $1-3k bounty (I've had people literally sit in a boat and try to send a couple dozen total stickies and grenades overboard when I had a $1k bounty.)

Meanwhile, half the time when I was in the sub, the game would tease me by spawning armored cars right on the shore near where my sub was. It just got to the point where I was like, "I'm bored and could be making so much more money if I didn't have to focus on getting away and could instead focus on making money in peace + the bounty on top."

So, that's why I'll happily just go to invite only. I'll take someone's bounty and get a ton done. It's about making money, plain and simple, and that leads to freedom and flexibility when I'm in freeroam.

why are the current poll options so aggressive? these days the only aggresive part of GTAO online is the motherf*cking neo-nazis who kill on sight and need to die in real life.

I'm so glad you didn't use brackets in the thread title.

I'm no "mod" but if you can't appreciate a little levity, then go here to b*tch & moan about it, please:

When I first started playing Online, I was too busy exploring all the new features so I was kinda neutral. After a while I started becoming the cold hearted jerk I am today.

I like to hunt down the highest ranked players in the lobby and kill them, unless someone wants to fight, it doesn't matter what rank you are, game on, or if I have a bounty.

Remind me to go off-radar when you log on! lol!

Funny, I just got a $9k bounty put on me, today, and no matter how hard I tried to get people to engage me for it, no one would fight back.

I signed off feeling a bit off-put by the lameness of the session I was in. Tonight... it'll heat up in no time! :)

Haha, happens to me a lot, I get a bounty, go to my favorite spot on the roof of cockatoos and wait, sometimes people just don't care, then other times 3 or 4 people swarm me all at once :D

Significantly more aggressive and paranoid compared to the early days and the billionaire era

early days: everyone was a broke low level noob. most people trusted each other, helped each other, and were friendly

billionaire era: I dont really care attitude. If he blew up my car, I have a billion bucks, ill just buy another. People were still friendly and helpful to make others rich as hell

now: you cant walk 2 feet without getting shot or blown up by another player, or being called a pussy for going into passive mode
