Bad losers

One thing i really cant stand with online is bad losers.

 

Case in point.

 

Guy tries to run me over earlier today, He gets out of his car but draws his weapon too slow and i shoot him first. Instantly get a message saying ''noob, try and kill me one on one when im not exiting a car'' so i snipe him down the road and get a 'fa**ot, cant kill without having to use a sniper''

 

This continues with pretty much every weapon or situation i lose until he then decided that i must be a modder cause he cant kill me so he sends abuse and tries to kick me from the session.

 

Why is it so hard for people to accept that their pixels got shot by somebody elses pixels, theres no skill to it, its just how things pan out.

 

Whats everyones worst bad losers experience?

That's pretty funny. I enter a session and instantly get messaged "come find me" . blah blah blah. Long story short guy is in a wall breach with bounty calling me a pussy etc.

 

He gets killed, same as you " yap yap yap".

I guess I just had one in the free roam lobby I was in waiting for today's Special Crate.

 

Only me and said player who had a bounty on his head and was hiding out at Sandy Shores and I was in town near Martin's house, so I deal with the armed guards and the crate drops and just as I pick it up I hear the sound of a helicopter landing behind me.

 

Turned round to find said bounty behind me and promptly dispatches my character, he must have really wanted that crate because he then proceeds to run me down a further two times (surviving both) before the car explodes and he dies hitting a cop car (helped by my mini gun) and then promptly leaves in frustration.

Hah! Some people take games too seriously. If someone kills me in a smart and skillful way, I usually text them "Nicely done."

 

There was that random player driving in his car and I shot at their car (I was bored... how dare you judge me!!). He chased me from Vinewood to Sandy Shores and from there to Vespucci Beach and sticky bombed me.

 

I texted him that I had a "blast". Later he friended me and we did a couple of jobs together.

People get mad at me so much. I usually reply by laughing at them, asking if they're mad, sending ASCII drawings of penises, blah blah blah. It's uncreative trolling but it's the only response that has any impact on these guys (i.e. it just makes them madder). I don't play specifically to troll but I do like killing people, and a lot of players react badly to just being killed one time (I'm not a spawn-killer or griefer).

 

Just today I was in a Lazer going after another guy in one. In the process of killing him, I saw someone else driving that I've had a little history with, and I nuked his car. Later when I was no longer flying, I saw him coming in a tank. I got my own tank, waited on him to round a corner, and just played the "shoot and back up" game. He only hit me once before I killed him. Then the stalking started, and the messages, accusing me of running from him (actually the lobby was crazy and I was fighting like four different people AND dodging two guys in jets), etc. I got on a rooftop trying to get one of the jets with sniper/homing RPG. Meanwhile this guy rolled up and stood in cover, thinking I was inside Ammunation. I killed him again and drove off, and now he tells me I'm a bitch and afraid of a real fight. Meanwhile now I'm going to Zancudo to get a jet, to take down the TWO guys in jets, and this stalker is following me the whole way and stopping to send me messages as often as possible.

 

Ultimately I killed his tank, I sniped him, I shot him when he tried to run me over, I killed him from that rooftop, and I homing RPG'ed his Buzzard when he chased me into the middle of nowhere. To hear him tell it, every single way I killed him was cheap and the fact that I kept leaving the area meant I was "scared." No, moron - I have more going on than just dealing with you. And anyway, playing not "like a bitch" was just getting him killed again and again. Not a great sales pitch, is it? One of the main reasons I leave after killing people, besides the fact that I don't like griefing those who don't want to fight, is that it often makes them mad and then they chase and make bad decisions. But those people never seem to figure that out.

It surprises me that when threads like this pop up, mods like @Girish and @Ciaran aren't knocking down the door to lock them.

Just surprises me, is all.

Anyhow, on topic, being a higher level, I'm often targeted just for my level. More often than not, I'm not even aware of other players and just enjoying the freedom and fun of exploring, spelunking, or jumping over things on my bike. That's when other players seem to strike.

If I get nailed by someone, or run down while looking at the menus, or even spawnkilled while afk, then it's good on that player and bad on me.

However, if a player comes looking for me, and I see them – I enjoy nothing more than playing cat-and-mouse and hunting them down.

The "bad loser" part is when they freak out and keep coming back, over and over, to get "even" with me. It's just annoying. And many times, they get me once and then chortle off, giggling in their mic about how bad I am at GTA.

The best revenge is no revenge. To not do anything. Stay in the session and just ignore them. When it's relentless, I change sessions to find more friendly people to play with.

Last week I had some new guy attack me while I was photographing my car for the Rate The Car Above You thread. I'm not that interested in going after people and killing them unless they've started it. So he did it once, I ignored it and respawned, he was waiting to kill me again and did.

 

In the words of Reverend Lovejoy, "and that's when I got mad". I took him out twice to level the score, planted a proximity mine on his car which he didn't see, then boom! I took the insurance hit for it. It went back and mostly forth until I took a 10-4 lead, then he managed to get me and exited the session with his tail between his legs.

Eh, it's the mess with one of us mentality. Just like a Christmas newb who killed a crew member that was AFK. I chased and spam killed that newbie from Rockford Hills to Vespucci Beach.
