Intergalactic totalitarian dictator, which have maximum control over every living intelligent being in the Universe. That would be something?

However, more realistic wishes could be civil engineer within sub-sea technology. But I can't become this.

Now I'm considering to abort current education (Bachelor degree in game programming), and become Sea Captain instead, and sail gigantic cruise ships, ULCC super tankers, or gas tankers (LPG/LNG).

If I become a Sea Captain (officer), and sail international, then I can live anywhere on Earth, and stay in Dubai, UAE if I wants to. This is impossible if I become an computer programmer, since that is an place bounded job however.

Librarian. I've always waned to be one. Or even just work at a bookstore. Simple and doable, but I chose a different career path.

I want to be an FBI Special Agent. I love crime, and I think I could pass the physical fitness test. But my parents would never approve of such a job.

I've also wanted to be an idol; once on a cross country bus ride back home, I woke up from a deep nap and then was seriously considering auditioning for SKE48 because they look for really good dancers. The only thing going for me is the dancing; I can't sing. I go to my school's open monthly mic events and perform a choreography. Man, I would love to be an idol. I'd also like to meet the girls I idolise.

But none of these dream jobs will ever happen because I applied for the biology program at all my colleges. I'll probably end up working in a science field after college. I just hope I'll enjoy whatever I end up working as.

  1. Editor-in-Chief or Art Director of a top-tier magazine (personally the dream is either Variety or Entertainment Weekly)

Film director/screenwriter (I have a couple of backlogged screenplays I'd like to pitch one day)

World-traveling food critic (Anthony Bourdain is one of my heroes)

Celebrity photographer

Crazyeighties

From a very young age I have always wanted to be a doctor because with all of my health problems I wanted to help other people going through something like what I did, then when I was about 15 I changed my mind. I wanted to join the army. I knew that that was not an option because of te surgeries I had, and the other issues. Now I want to take the test to go to join the state patrol

I wanted to be and still want to be a film editor, but i'll have to decide soon if it's actually a realistic career to pursue.

Pilot, any kind, and to be perfeclty honest, I would rather fly an airliner than a fighter jet.

Racer

i sometimes hang with my uncle at local drag-strips and most of the times we've been, he'd let me take his car on the track.

my dream is to make racing a profession and become a LeMans racer in the distant future, but my chances of that are slim-to-none

To think of it in terms of realism will always end up with you choosing a reliable line of work instead of something you've always wanted to do.

"If you love your job, it doesn't feel like you're working at all." Make sure your future career is something you won't dread going to every day. If you want to be a film editor, then every decision from here on out will be to get yourself towards that goal.

MythicalCreature

As far back as I can remember, I've always wanted to be a gangster.

Seriously though, my aim is set more towards game development related stuff. I don't know an awful lot yet, but it's not too late to learn... yet. One step at a time and hopefully I'll be there one day.

There are a lot of things you can do within the FBI that doesn't require you to carry a weapon.

You could be a evidence tech, liaison between Local Police, Homeland Security Task Force & FBI there are countless jobs in fact only around 70% of all FBI agents are Field Agents the rest are behind the scenes making sure everything is going according to plan

I myself hope to get into the FBI or U.S Marshals but as of right now i enjoy my job as a LEO, Maybe when i'm older i'll apply.

I wanted to be a car designer... but I realised I'm too sh*t at math to do that. I wanted to be an architect... don't have a portfolio and still too sh*t at math. I wanted to be a police officer... too sh*tty eyesight. Now, I have no clue what I want to do.

LOL

Seriously though, the best racing game would be combining the ideas of TDU with Forza Horizon and Need for Speed Underground 2.

Police officer.

It's been my dream job since I was a kid but I know it'll never happen because my medical history isn't too great. I can still dream though! :)

Right! I have a steady income, but my current occupation (despite paying well) isn't reliable. I think an editing job at a local tv is definitely a step in the right direction, but we'll see.

In what seems to be a reoccuring theme here, pilot.

My grandfather flew during the Second World War, mostly in North Africa during the interdiction campaign. My father trained as a commercial pilot. My uncle flew Jaguars during Desert Storm. Alas, I inherited my mother's eyesight and by virtue of it not being correctable I would most likely have been relegated to ground duty. Actually, these days I think the requirements have been relaxed somewhat and I'd probably scrape it, but given the massive over-subscribing of fast jet positions these days I doubt I'd get far. Plus my background would probably have me pushed towards the intelligence side of things.

I kind of "fell into" my current role by something of an accident, but now couldn't imagine working in another sector.

I'd love to be a Pilot as well, but the tuition at PATTS is too damn expensive here in the Philippines.
