Scarface: The World is Yours' moral code feature which prevents Tony from hurting innocent people in the game taught me into being a "tight cannon" in games rather than just shoot everybody like crazy, be it a baddie or goodie.

Ever since I stopped playing it in late 2015 and got back to playing GTA, I never killed any innocent pedestrian or stole a car from one in any of the games again. I resorted to having the protagonist kill only hostile gang members and mission-exclusive enemies, escaping the cops\Vice Squad\SWAT\FBI\army rather than get into gunfights with them, and steal cars that are either parked or being driven by street criminals ('cause they most likely stole it from somebody).

Well according to story almost all GTA protags are not any mass murderers or domestic terrorist by standard.

Maybe only Tony is wacky weirdo, that lore can justify his killing sprees. Maybe also Trevor, in that regard.

Protags that are legitimate well known businessmans like CJ, Franklin or Michael just dont go kill pedestrians for fun.

But Im happy there is freedom of choice!

That's a dope game, I recently replayed it and I was impressed with how well it holds up. Tbh I've never really enjoyed massacring civilians or going on random rampages in GTA. I think there are many of us who play like this. Like, I don't really care if I accidentally mow down a bunch of peds, I don't feel any emotion towards them because they're just set-dressing at the end of the day, but I like to play GTA in a fairly realistic way. There's nothing for our character to gain from going on a killing spree - we're career criminals, not terrorists lol.

It's actually Toni Cipriani, but he's not a terrorist, he's a mob guy, and he's got avengers missions as well, so I presumed you would not be talking about him.

He's talking about Toni Cipriani from LCS, the game where you have to blow up a whole neighborhood clean off the map in one mission, which kinda counts as domestic terrorism...

I forgot about that. It makes sense then to call him a terrorist.

I always dreamt of GTA set in europe especially Paris and London. Very small players actually know there was GTA: London albeit 2D era.

There was rumour after TBOGT that there is next GTA set in Paris.

I think old rockstar can easily put London into making someday and get right every part of it. But now Im had all my hopes lost, we will be stuck with USA settings for ever. Its not fun anymore.

They even tried AGENT game based on James Bond and the Proffesionals tv series according to some interview. I know both series very good it was very popular here, and it is very lost chance. Proffesionals is about division CI5 their were undercover homeland defence agency, they were counterterrorism agency, against espionage and against serious crimes. These episodes were mostly dark and action packed, but it was banger! If you had change, watch it. Sadly it was mostly Europe thing and they dont know vision, what Dan Houser had. It actually turns halfway into Red Dead Redemption, which is good outcome.

One good thing is, that Ubisoft make some modern games in Europe settings, but they games are mediocre at best. Im still deciding if I try on new pc Watch Dogs legion just for map.

Americana

WTF, I love Grand Theft Auto series because it's set in the United States of America.

I can't care less about Europe.

True. The USA setting is just plain iconic and really the go-to kind for GTA.

I bet if a GTA game is set in Europe or Japan, the majority of people won't be able to understand what the hell the characters are saying.:jkek:

The Time Ranger

Years ago I used to enjoy Gta myths, San Andreas was full of them, from Bigfoot, to CJ's mom's ghost to leatherface. I enjoyed watching myth videos on YouTube especially, late at night, lights low, grainy 320p YouTube videos, it was a unique kind of eerie, that kind of low level creepy where it gives you a kick without freaking you out. Almost like an ARG of sorts, you choose to become invested in something fantastical. You know it's not real but it's still fun to lean into it.

A few years ago I was playing San Andreas on my PS2, went to the Lil Probe inn, and got looking at the map inside with the markers on it. For nostalgias sake I started going to those locations and looking to the sky, seeing if maybe I could discover a yet undiscovered easter egg. There was a star shining brightly at one location and I started shooting up at it, and suddenly the entire screen went a yellow-orange colour for a couple of seconds before disappearing, it was strange, probably a lighting glitch of sorts but in that moment I thought I had made a discovery of sorts, could never replicate it again but in that moment I was transported back to my myth hunting days, of simpler times.

I did huge mistake, that ruined every GTA:SA myth hunting for me.

I actually dig into files to find these NPCs. There was none and it was busted for me.

But Im hearing that people swear that there was bigfoot on PS2 and they cut him off for PC.

Nah, I was just joking, but the main point was that the US location always fits well for a GTA game.

Im having really serious issues with decision they made with RGL and they constant internet connections and update system.

First of all, last time when I played from RGL they need constant online verifications. This is cancer that seriously needs to go from anywhere. Im not pirate anymore, but I might be thanks to these nonsenses.

Second of all, every time when I tried to play GTA V or RDR2 for few minutes in sigleplayer. Every time I get hefty amount of updates always around 4 GB . Well I do not live in city and I do not have cable internet, so I gets me so frustrated that in once in pale moonlight I deleted GTA for good. Im not interested in Online so why I need 40 GB of data that does nothing on my harddrive was beyond my logic.

Easy things to do was for me just make sigleplayer standalone . But they say no, Online is standalone which makes even less logic. Im too old to remember that there was mostly standalone multiplayer game modes.

All these small tidbits makes huge garbage bin that needs to go. Rockstar is full of them and I probably Im out. In my opinion they secretly hate players of their games, and when Im not involved in microtransactions they hate me the most...

I like Claude and I think he has more depth and character then people give him credit 4

Nightcub missions/collecting from the safe might not be profitable but their fun and being able to do idle supply missions and store the terobyte MORE than makes up for it

Liberty city lolipop girl best cover girl

Trevor is pan. Whether you like it or not he is OBJECTIVELY gay.

Amanda isn't a bad person. Michael cheated first AND she put up with him literally being a mass murderer and putting their family in danger she is more than justified in her anger

I don't have a problem with GTA 5 map being mostly dessert/rural area. It's based off real life California and the city part is still fairly large and the desert is SO fun to play in

Being mad about GTA removing transphobic content from nextgen really makes no sense lol. Even if you're a transphobe you have to admit it really doesn't affect the gameplay for them to remove that stuff

GTA nendeoidrds would be based

GTA tryhard fits go hard asf but the tryhard game playstyle is toxic

Director mode is underated and what got me into GTA

Is this a thing? I reading this a lot but nobody is clarifyig what it is.

Somebody pointed that there is gay club and these NPCs are sorta of mockery, but I dont see reason because I do not care in depth. I bet this is a thing...

But "good work" rockstar, it seems players and corporates have two points of view for things to change and sell it for full price... Again...

NPCs dont bother me, lazy cash grabs do.

I think people's dislike of the GTA 5 map stems from the fact that the scale isn't on par with what was seen in GTA SA despite the fact that GTA 5 was clearly trying to recreate the GTA VC style of gameplay structure rather than GTA SA. (Focus on a single major city with some outskirts landmass added for flavor and occasional variety)

I really don't care either but by this logic they might as well update the game to run with PS2 graphics and release a phone version to expand their market because visuals have zero bearing on why people enjoy the game it's all about game play, visuals have absolutely no impact on any of it. Heck, take out all pedestrians and replace them with green space aliens it will have zero effect on gameplay so it will have zero effect on anyone's experience with the game.

The dislike stems from unused areas and the fact that the road design is not as good as in SA. Also the purpose of that big lake is to make the map feel bigger because you have to drive around it. It's just kind of cheap.

When I play GTA VCS, I think about the life of the other protagonists in 3D universe at that time. Tommy rotting in jail, Carl in high school with his brother and mother alive and still being friends with Big Smoke and Ryder, Claude probably in high school too, etc. i don't know why I think about that in that specific game, but is funny to do it.

It's more about the fact that 60% of it are naked hills and mountains with nothing to do on them, making up for space that could've been used for actual explorable areas and in-depth ecosystems that could have gave us reasons to go to the countryside, but rather than that, we have all this empty and infertile areas, so close to roads that take you either to empty towns with no interiors, or back to the exact same city you just came from.

GTA V's map just lacks any sense of actual exploration it's not even funny. GTA SA and the two RDR games are just better examples of how you make a countryside based map than GTA V.
