GTA Confessions.

[Misunderstood]

-I have purchased GTA IV a total of 5 times (and going to buy it again for 6 times in total soon). I bought my first copy on my 360 but stupid little me didn't know I couldn't move the console while the disc is spinning. Luckily, gamestop gave me a replacement but dumb little me didn't realize that me moving it is what caused it so I did it again. This time, I had to fish out another 50 or so dollars to get another GTA IV disc. This time, I lost it because my apartment building caught on fire. The disc got stuck inside the console (which broke as well) and I couldn't figure out how to get it out. So I fished out another 50 dollars to get another copy. Finally, I ended up buying another copy on PS3 because I'm a fanboy of the game and wanted it on both consoles. And now, because I'm still a fanboy of IV, I'm going to buy the game on steam once again once I get my new PC.

 

- Separating DLC from IV, I bought EFLC three times. Once, I bought it and for no reason, my 360 scratched the disc. I didn't move it or touch it this time either. Again, I ended up buying the DLC on PSN on my PS3 and I'm going to be buying the PC version as well.

 

- I never bought/got GTA SA legally until two or so years ago. I was an asshole when I was younger and stole it from my friend. My dad eventually found out I owned a rated M game and broke it in half. I pirated it on PC but since then have hung up my pirating ways and decided to buy it (not the stupid steam version).

 

-If I were to rate the GTA games from best to worst, including DLC, it'd go like this:

 

GTA IV>GTA SA>GTA VCS>GTA IV Lost and Damned>GTA Vice City>GTA Ballad of Gay Tony> GTA LCS>GTA Chinatown Wars>GTA 3>GTA 2>GTA 1>GTA V>GTA Advance

Despite i have many complaints on V one thing really makes my skin crawl. When it`s a topic about number your best GTA games in order and some people goes like this; X>Y>W>Q.....>GTA V. They even put GTA advance or CTW before V. I mean gtfo, i respect the opinion and all but this isn`t really an opinion, it`s a pure hate. When someone puts V at the end of their list, AFTER GTA advance, then i know it`s a huge f*cking hate for V.

It`s just a sad attempt on letting everyone know how much you hate V.

CTW is a really good game and to say it's better than V isn't that far fetched. I of course think V is the better game, but CTW had a great story and an awesome cop evading system. The drug dealing mini game is way better than the garbage V has to offer outside the story.

I was thinking more of the GTA advance. We know how advance is popular so when someone writes GTA Advance>V we all know where they`re going with.

The same could be said about GTA 1 or London.

Ain't going to lie. SR1 and SR2 are indeed better games in the sense of gangs than V. Although not better San Andreas.

 

Gta 1 was the first game I played for PS1. in 2000 I played it totally forgot about in months. when I found about it in the latter year that dma made 3. I was stoked and in 3d . since then my loyality is to ROCK STAR.

i completly agree, i know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but saying that V is worst than CTW it is far fetched, the game has the drug deal game, but V has more to offer than that,most of the time is just a chance to show how much they hate the game, even placing it below LCS (not a bad game at all) a game where the antagonist is more diluted that the antagonists from V itself , Tony being a huge lapdog ,following every order from Sal , ruining characters like V and almost no features at all.

OT: Saints row suck balls and always sucked balls, the gameplay, the histories, the characters, the created cities, cars, radios everything.

it really piss(ed) me off when people used to said that SR3 was better than IV in ANY sense, it's just a sh*t clone that will die in due time as the rest (even when was serious was sh*t compared to gta)

I've honest to god had a much better experience playing CTW on my PSP than I have on V. Sure, my opinion barely matters and I don't think V is the worst game I've ever played in my life. I also think it is a million times better than Advance. Maybe it's because I grew up around LCS and sh*t but I enjoyed the game a hell of a lot more than V. Yes, there's a giant list of problems with it but I can still play it enjoyably.

Do I dislike V? Probably. Haven't touched it in months, really. I'll probably give it another chance once I get my new PC but honestly, I didn't enjoy singleplayer. Online was decent but got boring fast.

LCS, imo is much better than V. Maybe it's because it's the one I grew up with and I'm sort of blinded by nostalgia for it. The antagonist in LCS and sh*t and LCS in general has a huge amount of problems but when I play it, I enjoy it. When I play V, I get bored very quickly. My argument is probably flawed and I'll admit GTA V sh*ts on LCS in almost everything but again, for some reason I enjoy it. Even before I got on these forums, I still didn't like V that much and I'll stand by it. Won't see me going topic to topic bashing people who like V tho. If you like, you like it, it's fair game. I get it. It's just not my cup of tea.

I hated SA and IV.

I always only use Trevor in V's Free Roam.

V is the only GTA I didn't use cheats in. AND the only one I 100%.

The only time I got Busted was as...... Franklin >.>

I don't like Niko or Luis.

Well i ain`t try to defend R* or anything but i can understand them at this point. Back in 2008 when IV came out they were under a huge pressaure from gamers who were madd because IV felt too serious and gritty after SA so they were demanding changes for V. So they were catered by childish humor and cartoonized Trevor.

Everything would`ve been just fine if they`d choose a moderate way and not going from totally serious, maybe even too serious and maybe even too grounded crime game to the wacky parody on artificial LA full of wannabes.

I hope they`ll pick something from IV and V and put it in the moderate manner for VI.

I play GTA V according to the personality of each protagonist.

As Michael, I don't steal cars, I listen to VBR, LSRR and Mirror Park.

As Franklin, I mostly hang out with Lamar, M and T, replay street races, listen to Radio Los Santos and WCC.

As Trevor, I do whatever the hell I want, and mostly listen to Channel X.

 

P.S. I got kinda shocked once when I saw a friend listening to EAST LOS FM as MICHAEL.

I have a couple of "confessions" to make.

 

Note: I've owned/played every GTA scene GTA 3, except GTA Advanced.

 

Alright here's the list:

 

1. I've never like GTA VC or GTA VCS. I've never got into them.

2. I've completed every GTA except VC and VCS.

3. I liked GTA SA mainly for the countryside and all the myths and legends.

4. I believe in Bigfoot and UFO's, not aliens, in GTA SA.

5. Personally I liked GTA 3. It's around my 4th or 5th favorite GTA game.

6. The three protagonist addition in GTA 5 was great, but it got annoying after a little while.

7. I like to patrol around and join in police pursuits.

8. In my view, GTA VCS was the worst out of the ones that I've played.

-I played GTA for the first time when I was 9 years old, was a birthday gift. PS2 Version of San Andreas

-I never completed Vice, III, II or I, not even TLAD and TBOGT.

-I only have completed San Andreas and IV, I tried to not cheat on SA, but did on the latest missions, right now I'm trying to finish IV without cheats...

-I think making 100% is cool, but boring as f*ck due to bullsh*t they have put, such as Spraying and Oysters on San Andreas and the stupid pigeons of Liberty City.

-I found GTA Vice City boring on the Story.

-I gave up GTA III on a hard mission of sniping on the docks

-I think GTA San Andreas, Vice City, III and IV had poor versions on PC, and that Rockstar should have done something better, they've cutted a lot of things from the PS2 Versions on III era, and the IV PC Version sucks, due to DRM's, Bad Performance and many other things, those made me create some hate over the game. See 1st confession.

-I don't like GTA IV radios, I don't like most songs.

-Even though I have not finished Vice City and III stories, I enjoyed a lot of them getting 100% Save Files and free-roaming around the city, love these two games.

-I must have played more than 3000 hours of San Andreas, not sure.

-I have a psychosis for GTA V, as a PC Gamer waiting for it since 2011.

-I cried at E3 2014 GTA V Next-Gen trailer ^^^^^^^ *PC Confirmation =')

-I think Roman and Niko are the best characters of IV even though many friends hate them and their accent.

-I love GTA III theme.

-I hate TLAD theme.

-I guess I played almost every GTA game, except for VCS and the Advance.

-I know San Andreas, Vice City and Liberty City (III) map very well, maybe more than my city, but can't recognize any street on Liberty City of IV.

I've lost Avenger because stupid C* haven't warned it was one-time spawn only and now my life isn't complete until I get it again for my 100%. I guess I should restart everything right now.

 

I edited weapons.dat so I can safely complete 1 rampage and Ambulance in GTA 3.
