2014 Appreciation Thread - A year of GTA Online

After doing my daily stuff and beating the tranny who lives in my street I was surprised that nobody has touched this topic yet, and not only because I want to be the first doing it but since a few days I feel like writing about it.

 

Hell of a year that has been... so many memorable moments and highlights that should we remember now that we're leaving this year behind. As of december 31th one of our favorite games have changed so much and the same time remains like it was that we cannot simply explain it.

 

Half of said moments were only relevant because we saw threads about it every day and because we're part of GTAForums.

 

We experimented a crazy fever for the economy when the street ladies approached to our cars and let us make a fortune with their services more than something dirty hard and deep. Unfortunately most of the chicky babes are missing by now and of course no one of us don't want to remember why. My moral was in doubt and I finally fell to the dark side, and you know what? No regrets.

 

El Estupido was so grateful with us saving him that he refused to leave our cars and used his connections to level us.

Franklin, Michael and Trevor were back to the game in order to give our characters some unique killer cars.

Martin Madrazo kept loosing his documents and containers.

Sacrifices had to be done in order to give a plastic surgeon to our favorite psycho.

Heists and Hydra are finally a thing.

A second and third property can be owned.

The Dukes and Blista are back.

"MONEEEZ" deathmatches are flooding the On Call option.

There's no realistic steak.

We don't know what a f*ck is a Gerald.

Nothing happened during Spring.

God Mode revived a few times until it finally died (oh... irony)

Harmless glitches will live in our hearts.

 

And a long etcetera. A year ago the billionaire gave the most insane free roam lobbies we've seen yet, today we can agree that glitching era is over until Rockstar adds a new feature that will be exploited for sure. As a game, GTA Online grown and not only that, it doesn't feel like a broken beta anymore, the game is stable and hardly can be exploited for now.

 

Like I started this post, it has been a hell of a year, so why not appreciate it?

 

For one year of GTA Online... cheers everyone!

Wicked game I tell ya,

 

as a huge fan I couldn't even get it on ps3 til a few weeks after the Valentines day dlc update

 

I missed the character issues at the start, billion dollar days and the money from rockstar

 

Was part of the hooker glitch period, but its been a wonderful year of gaming thanks to gta V/ online

 

made some friends, had some awesome sessions, got upset, happy, angry, drunk, stoned, bought cars, houses, pegasus vehicles, cash cards, glitched, played fair, was nice, was mean, won, got beat..

A hell of a year. Started off in this game in the middle of 2014. I remember being a lvl 10 and going afther 4 guys of lvl200, i got killed a lot of times, RPG's, miniguns. And there i was, my micro SMG, my pig mask, and my firetruck. Well that was fun. Hit lvl 200 myself yesterday. Fell in love with the slamvan which got added recently. Have been in the same crew for 6 months, and loving it in there. Hosting events in the meetup section, being a personal driver, beating up people in free room who're talking sh*t to me.

 

It has been a fun yeah, and i'll see what 2015 brings.

GTAO, a year of flaws, bugs, hacks, cheats, glitches and disconnections. Such imperfections have made this my favorite game of the year. Some of the funniest moments in this game are because its NOT perfect. IF this game were done perfectly it wouldnt be nearly as fun.
