Low level players...

Last night, I had a level 8 attempt to kill me with a pistol...I am level 129...I had done nothing wrong to him, and was in fact, going to help him take the HPV to the docks, but, he opened fire, then challenged me to a 1v1 deathmatch...needless to say, he didn't hit me once.

Point of the post is, everyone complains about higher levels going after them, have you ever thought that, if you didn't come after us, we would leave you to it? And since when is a pistol going to win vs a Minigun?.

Annoyed me a bit that I was offering my help, instead of blowing his head off, then he starts shooting, and people wonder why we just kill everything in sight?.

You consider 129 to be a higher level? I'm like level 140 and I think I've played a total of 10 hours in the last 10 months (obviously earning most of my levels the first few months GTA V online started).... anyway.... level 129, 15 months after release is NOT a high level

From December - July I didn't have a PS3.

Cheers

I think when you're a low level and don't really have a f*****g clue what's going on it's natural that you would open fire on anyone you see as a threat. I tend to be as lenient as possible when a new player fires at me randomly, as long as they don't kill me I'll let it slide.

If they do then I'll likely kill them a few times but not to extremes. No need to be a dick about it. If they're genuinely new then they are far too easy to kill and I don't get any satisfaction from spawn killing them. Leave that to people desperate to pad their K/D.

I had one today, onlynlevel 4 obviously new to the game, he was raging on his mic that he couldn't drive my car (set to passengers only) whilst I was in ammunation. I come outside and he guns me down and so I kill him back, then i blow up his PV with the firework launcher and he starts wining because I'm being unfair, he didn't have insurance. I leave him alone and go about my business elsewhere. Anyway his raging goes on and on and he keeps saying I'm killing him when I'm not anywhere near him, he then starts chasing me and someone in an adder takes pitty on him believing his crap story about me always killing him (I did it once) so the do gooder orders merryweather after me and I hold up down an alleyway and fend them off. I hadnt realised how far I'd come in this year, the extra health and weapon skill from copious missions meant I dealt with merryweather with ease. The level 4 kid and his cohort just keep coming and its like shooting fish in a barrel. In the end they give up and go and I'm left thinking some people need to hone their skills more before becoming aggressive.

I've had a few run ins with low level players lately.

The best one was some level four player who I saw running out of a convenience store with the cops after him. I picked him up in my Stinger GT and lost the cops. He then gets straight out the car and kills me with a shotgun. I go and get a buzzard for a little payback. I approach him and see he is getting in and out the passenger side of my Stinger, obviously trying to drive it. He gets out and runs into the street. I follow him closely in the buzzard but do not kill him. He turns and shoots at me with a pistol, I shoot back with missiles. When he respawned I fly over to him and he shoots at me again, so I kill him again.

The third time he doesn't shoot at me, so I don't shoot at him. I just follow him closely wherever he goes for about 5 mins. Then he gets into a Sentinel XS and is just about to enter LS customs with it when I blow him up. He left the lobby at that point.

Well I'm at level 109 and my attitude is that we've all been at low level and we've all worked our way up so I have only respect for lower level players as long as they don't attack me I won't attack them, same goes for those above me even if they have a bounty.

Its even worse when you're in passive and they still attempt to kill you. I can stand there like a dead fish and these morons will still come at me with a pistol claiming I'm hacking because I am passive.

But with the huge amount of 6 to 12 year old children playing this game...

I have ranked up two or three different gamer names over the last year to 120 or more and also ranked up Character number 2

One thing that that has been a constant each and every time, is having higher level players (80 and above) coming swooping down to kill me, I am not saying all higher level players but at least 80% of them..

I know as a low level player one or two shots and i am dead making me an easy target, even with the weapons available like the bullpup rifle ect you still need to get a drop on another player and sometimes it still inst enough because your strength is still low in comparison, and higher level players know this

I have never been a shoot first kind of person, but in those early stages i am more prone to shoot first, because the odds say gunfire is coming, and i at least want to get off one or two shots before i die

Kill or be killed.

Learned that on Day One.

I don't blame people for trying to kill me.

I don't go after anyone first at any level. If I get attacked, then as Al Bundy would say 'let's rock'. Sometimes it can be fun when everyone gets together in one location and everyone is going for each other but for the most part, I prefer to be left alone.

I try to help the new guys whenever I can. The other day somebody set a $9000 bounty on me, which is a lot of money to a new player so I sent one person a text and told them to come and claim it, they must have thought it was a trick and ran away :dontgetit: as did the next person I tried.

In the old days ı was trying to be friendly to all, but at next gen I got bored to get killed while I am acting friendly.

I got my lesson and if somebody come close to me I am the one who shots first anymore unfortunatelly even without looking the level.

i love when people get mad at me when they try to help my level 11 female character and i just keep killing them...

the dunce cap she's wearing doesnt ring any bells?

Ditto for my level 374 female character. Five LSPD tint weapons, and five tattoos unlocked by being a mass murderer, two of them being Deathmatch kills only aren't red flags?

I have newer lvl's try to kill me all the time. I'm lvl 240 and they'll chase , follow , stalk (go off the radar and do rude jesters behind me), harass me when they find out they can't hurt me. Then after they try to kill me, they'll always say " can you add me " or " why can't I kill you". And there's a lot of pervs online too. I'll be in the store shopping for clothes or trying to make a dress, and some guy would stand there and watch me. Then shoots the store and I have to leave; I go out and he would want me to ride with him. Beeps his horn non-stop, I try to go to my car and he blows it up before I get in. Some annoying players online

That's what happens when you have a mix of 8 year olds with ADD and GTAO.

Pretty much this for me. I'm not really a nice guy on the PS4 as I was on the PS3. I just shoot on sight.

Remembered another incident actually, I was driving past some new guy, level 2 I think, not bothering him just seeing what he was doing, so he started firing at my car, I drove on ahead and threw a sticky bomb out of my car a safe distance behind and waited. I sat there watching him, he jacked the nearest car and tried to give chase. As soon as he got to the sticky bomb.... BOOM!

You and I are the minority though. I'm like you, I only go after people that go after me first, but the majority of people in GTAO just kill anyone they see no questions asked.

Any player under rank three is someone playing on their second character that skipped the tutorial. Any legit new player always starts off at level three. I guess it doesn't matter though, they're all just target practice anyway.

Super ninja dodge manoeuvre combat roll and a headshot should do the trick, especially if you're playing AA.

GUYS.

I was at GameStop yesterday to take advantage of a 25% off coupon I had and saw some approximately 13 year olds with their parents hovering near the Xbox One section. So of course, I had to make them part the seas so I can access the shelf to grab the game I wanted and one of them literally stomped their foot and says to the father, "But I WANT GRAND THEFT AUTO!"

I scoffed and turned to the father and said, "For the love of all things holy, do us adult GTA players a favor and do NOT allow your children access to this game."

Trust is an issue with this game for lower level players. They might have been thinking why does this high level person want to help me or they just have a death wish.

He simply laughed and put the game back on the shelf. I honestly expected him to turn around and tell me to mind my own business or throw an insult. I assume he was a level headed person who wouldn't let the kid play it regardless because of its rating. Either way, his response...or lack thereof was refreshing considering he and the kids and wife left without anything more than Skylanders.

Well that's one less squeeker on GTA I guess. Although I'm not really the one to speak since I've been playing GTA since the age of 10, and only turned old enough to play GTAV last month.

OT: A rank 4 guy kept coming and tried to beat me to death. So he contributed to my basic Pistol LSPD tint. I'm ashamed to say that he actually managed to kill me once.

rank never meant anything to me, i was attacking level 300+ when i was level 5 with my pistol

i think the newer low level players are the ones most eager for blood since theyre only just joining online, and when you think that all you really do in offline is shoot people, its no surprise that when they get online thats all they want to do as well

Yeah, I've been playing GTA since I was 8 years old, but that was before Xbox Live existed and even once it launched, I never used the headsets until I turned 16 or so. Even at 16, I sounded and acted twice my age, so it was never a problem.
