Low level players...

Last night, I had a level 8 attempt to kill me with a pistol...I am level 129...I had done nothing wrong to him, and was in fact, going to help him take the HPV to the docks, but, he opened fire, then challenged me to a 1v1 deathmatch...needless to say, he didn't hit me once.

Point of the post is, everyone complains about higher levels going after them, have you ever thought that, if you didn't come after us, we would leave you to it? And since when is a pistol going to win vs a Minigun?.

Annoyed me a bit that I was offering my help, instead of blowing his head off, then he starts shooting, and people wonder why we just kill everything in sight?.

I understand "Its GTA" but when someone is offering help, ie, by not shooting you so you can earn some money?

I had something like that happen but with a lvl 4.

I was trying to help him escape the cops after he robbed a store but instead he killed me and kept coming after me so i kept killing him with the hatchet.

He than challenged me to a PVP so i accepted and only used the pistol and he still didn't get a kill and he finally left the room.

It's been 1 year and about 3 months since the game came out, I thought it would be common knowledge for people to shoot on sight at players they don't know, especially considering all the stories floating around about asshat players in the game.

They have balls, I'll give them that.

lol this is why I love killing low levels so much. Run them over with car, get out of car, shotgun them, get back in car, repeat!

Its even worse when you're in passive and they still attempt to kill you. I can stand there like a dead fish and these morons will still come at me with a pistol claiming I'm hacking because I am passive.

I had the same thing happen the other night.

I arrived at an HPV and someone else comes strolling up so I duck behind my car and pull up the player list and he's a Lvl 6, I text him "Take it, I'll cover you" and get and "ok"

All was fine for about 2 mins and he throws a sticky on me and blows me up, I took the time to call Mors, have the same car delivered while I plan my revenge on this little sh*t. I figured he's such a n00b that he probably hasn't had a good raw griefing yet, so that became my plan. I sat back a long ways and let him deliver the car and when he was in the garage I made my move to the shipping port and basically cornered him at the end, caught him stealing a parked car so I got out and pulled the Homing Rocket out and let rip and proceeded to ruin this kid so that the final score was 27-1 before I got a text "Please Stop."

I sent him a friend request and took him on 6 missions over Rank 50 and gave him his first 20 wins in a Super so he could get some Mods. He also didn't know about the Social Club so I got him linked up with that and the Elegy RH8.

Poor little 14yr old welsh kid.

I could be wrong, but maybe the low rank was attempting to hunt for "big game," or something... to place on his virtual mantel.

Even though you believe that your consideration and generosity went unappreciated, I believe that you assisted this newcomer in becoming acclimated to GTAO, if indeed he was new to the game.

You did your part as a mentor.

"Here, allow me to teach you of the multiple ways you can get killed in GTAO."

I'm a level 235 and I saw a player out in the ocean off Paleto Bay. I was in my buzzard so I went over to see what was going on. It was a level 5 player on a jet ski. I hovered over him all the way from Paleto Bay to where you sell the Simeon cars in the entire opposite corner of the map. I followed him basically around the entire western coastline, through the concrete los santos river, through the docks, etc.

I never once fired on him, just stayed close by. At one point I thought we were playing with each other b/c he'd zig zag and I would follow suit.

He gets to a point in the concrete drainage system where he can't manuever anymore in the jet ski so I land beside him to pick him up. The bastard shoots me!

I respawn and he's trying to take the buzzard so I send a homing RPG at him and blow him up. Then proceed to snipe him 5 times before I let him go on his way...not before texting him "Dbag"

That happened to me last night as a matter of fact. Joined a lobby only to hear explosions and gunshots left and right and thought, "Great, it's WW3 and I just want to go shopping." Went passive and headed to Suburban where the chaos seemed to follow subsequently. Sat in my car to observe and I had a fool throw a sticky bomb on my car and detonate and it did nothing. Three characters started shooting at me, to no avail. Then I hear chatter, "Dude, report him, he's f*cking hacking."

I usually don't indulge anyone, but I decided to put on my headset and reply, "It's called passive mode, to avoid idiots like you so I can do what I need to do in peace."

One replied, "Passive mode doesn't make you invisible I know you're hacking bro."

So my last comment was, "Listen 'bro,' maybe if you got your head out of your ass and paid attention to the game, you'd notice that passive mode now makes you pretty much transparent and harmless/unable to be harmed. Instead of arguing with me on sh*t you know nothing about, piss off and find something to do."

They ended up throwing some vague insults and drove off. f*cking morons.

new low level players are a joke, even with AA and all of the DLC weapons

just because you have the special carbine and a homing launcher doesnt make you insta-good at the game

You consider 129 to be a higher level? I'm like level 140 and I think I've played a total of 10 hours in the last 10 months (obviously earning most of my levels the first few months GTA V online started).... anyway.... level 129, 15 months after release is NOT a high level

Back in my day I had to defend with a pistol for 50 levels, it makes you x100 better chance then long ago.

Its high relative to the level 8

also there's no incentive to level up past 120, so thats why some players dont continue the grind to get to higher levels as quickly as possible

going through all of the weapons did make players better and make smarter decisions

usually when Im in a firefight with a low level, I get the kill because i almost always shoot them as they are aimlessly sprinting like Rambo towards me. By the time they aim, they're already dead

High level player on a new character.

They'd have pots of money if that were the case, making it easy for them to know about and buy all the high-powered DLC weapons, which R* stupidly didn't level-lock.

My low level 2nd character bought all the weaponry available to him.

The people that dont realize that passive mode exists are hilarious

they just unload mag after mag looking like a dumb ass

That's funny :^: . The most i have killed one player before they quit was 25 times (combination of various griefing tactics)

It doesn't matter about levels. I for one would want that help if it was randomly offered ingame. Although if you offered through a mic the person might have Player volume off as there can be quite a lot of squeakers. It happens both ways. It's GTA and people feel better to play a lone rather than trust some stranger which could jack the car and takeaway money in this situation

I'm a low level I'm playing solo as well i've had high level players come at me when i've done nothing wrong. I normally let them kill me and they'll not find it as fun.

when I made my second char, I was already a level 180 with my original

I bought the marksman rifle and special carbine

and as a seasoned player I was killing players much higher than me

----

anyway point is some players may be using their second character, you can tell if they are already in a crew and have a high crew rank

Retired Mafia

when i was a level 10 i tried to kill 4 guys of lvl 200. i killed them sometime by running them over in a firetruck. then they started using RPG's, miniguns, started saying: piggy pigggyy piggyy piggy. there i was... with my pig mask, and my micro SMG.

well you can guess it...

i had a hell of a lot of fun!

it's a challenge to do, it's fun! and i'll never forget the moment! i still know where it was, and how i was thinking: that hockey mask is cool! i want it too!

I step on low level peasants.

As long as they stay clear of my wealth zone, they will not be harmed. But cross my path, and i will make it rain pixel lead.

When I was Level 10 I got destroyed by this guy with all the weapons known to God and when he went AFK, I shot him the chest a few times with my pistol. He proceeded to pull out his minigun and absolutely shredded me.

It's a good point, I don't always gun for low levels unless they come after me. But once they come after me it's on and I spawn kill them.
