How do you shoot/kill people online?

This is probably a stupid question but i am really struggling to kill other players in an online game (ie deathmatch).

I never got on with the PS3 version and gave up but now with the PS4 i am trying again and simply cant kill anyone.

Today i am playing a "capture" game with one other player so i assume we have the same weapon... It turned into a gun fight and when i shot him, i could see his health reduce and it looks lile i would need 6-10 shots to kill him.. But he appeare to kill me with one shot.

What am i doing wrong.. Why does it take me so many shots to kill someone yet they appear to kill me with few shots.

What am i missing? Is there a technique that i am overlooking.

So using auto am is bad? I am playing it like SP where i press L1 to get a lock and R1 to fire? Should i be manually aiming.? More like Call OF Duty?

This guy today was only 3 levels higher than me, so i dont think he had much more "armour".

To play devil's advocate, wear the Bulletproof Helmet; it's said to reduce the headshot multiplier but it's ugly as sin.

For broader advice, make a habit of eating snacks whilst (and only when) you're in cover. Mash the snack you want to eat via the Interaction Menu and next thing you know you'll have max vitality. Be sure to visit convenience stores to replenish these often so you can survive in a pinch.

You can still use auto aim, just move your shot up and shoot at the head...

What level are you?

Retired Mafia

auto aim on him and start aiming up for headshots.

also the Bulletproof helmet might help you a bit. :)

When you're using auto-aim you can move the crosshairs with the Right Stick. Just move the crosshairs up a little from where auto-aim puts it and BOOM!, headshot.

Seriously is this even a question?

Have a strong weapon, aim at the head and shoot. Piss easy. Use Auto Aim if you don't have a steady aim for FA. Just press L2 and push your stick up. Done. He should die from one hit.

That is, of course, the opponent isn't wearing a BulletProof helmet, which means it would protect him from a couple headshots.

Seriously though, killing others is so easy in this game that I managed to own somebody who was twice my rank when I was a noob, somewhere around lvl24.

Just because its easy for you doesn't mean its easy for someone else.

You totally sound like a douche right now.

Keep one eye on the mini map and the other on the player, these 2 things are very important , and when you aim at someone you can push the left stick up so it shoots them in the head, also when pulling out of a corner or something doing a side roll will give you a advantage, along with that if you really wanna survive, eat snacks, and stock up on armour in your inventory, so you can live longer, and die less, hope that helps

First-person mode. Bullet spread and recoil isn't as heavy, and since you're constantly running, you can keep up and even outgun free aimers and their "hold RT/R2 halfway down" technique.

Killing in this game is the second easiest sh*t ever, right next to driving.

If you can kill NPCs, you should be able to kill real players.

And I'm not even that kind of person who plays DM's, let alone start sh*t in FreeRoam.

Auto aim is only to help you find the target. It puts your dot on their chest & you need to aim up a bit to score a headshot. Gang attacks can help you practice the technique. The enemy will drop as soon as you score the headshot instead taking a full clip.

Allow me to blow your mind..

..you can eat snacks while aiming down sights and firing.

When you auto lock with L2, move your right analog stick UP, you will still have it auto locked to the target, but the reticle will be on top of the enemy's head, which will give you a headshot and a fast kill..

My tactic is go passive. Stand next to someone and pick my nose until they try to kill me with explosive weaponry. Then wait for the suicide message in the kill feed lol. Worked a few times.

I think you meant L2; R2 is the firing trigger.
