First encounters of the strange Kind.

Recommended Posts

So about 5 minutes ago I picked up a crate. Afterwards, this naked, what I thought was an NPC approached. Turned out to be my first meeting with a modder. They transformed my female character's head into an alien egg, gave her a hot dog as a penis, and then dropped me about 2 million in cash. Question, Do I report the gifted 2 million or carry on my way as this is my first encounter of the strange kind?

I had to ask them to stop dropping cash, it hit around 2 mil. Not sure what to do.

That's a tough one yeah, dunno if a couple mil is enough to trip their detectors. I know SOME of the Billionaire Days folks had money reset. But a Bill. is a different story.

something like that happened to my mid the other day...

he had a egghead and like a giant hotdog between his legs.

yesterday i was driving by when i saw this...

Ask him to hook me up, I dropped like 2.4million when the Festive Update went live.

Nice tits.

And oh, keep the money.

I am considering it. Then if there is a ban, I will challenge it..... :r*:

There won't be one.

I was "gifted" coughmoddedcough over $500 million.

Rockstar never caught on, but Microsoft did. I got a little two week suspension and was back with all my money.

Don't bother. Rockstar is the IRS. Any sudden increase in money you get without verification, it will be removed, or they will reset your own account assuming you to be a modder yourself.

Even though they might be funny and/or entertaining, always report the player and any illegal money obtained via their actions.

yeah I find it messed up the player ends up punished, rather than the modder. They can just take the cash for all I care. Damn it I was trying to stick to legit play from now on.

I have 20mil in glitched money and 30 in legit earned money since launch and just bought a megaladon 8mil shark card. Don't worry about 2 mil whether it's glitched or real or bought R* doesn't know the difference.

Well the first time I was banned my money remained. The second time they wiped it but left my other profile with 80mil. So third time who knows lol.

ADropInTheOcean

Spend it in whatever you want. If there's something left, transfer it to the pocket of your second character. I was able to save up some of the money from the trillionaire days with that.

If anyone asks, all you know is that some generous player decided to share his vast fortune with you.

I still don't get how R* think it's right to punish people for receiving money they never asked for.

I'm willing to bet there are thousands of players who have never been on this forum or rockstar support and wouldn't have a clue about modders dropping cash. Seems messed up to punish the "victims" rather than the modders.

Any gains of more than $1 million are flagged up as dodgy since the last patch. When I've seen modders giving cash on YouTube, the modder physically drops it and the player getting the cash has to walk over it to pick it up. I can see how it looks dodgy and the player receiving the modded cash has it wiped as it now requires a deliberate act to pick-up modded cash. A year ago, you just had to be in the same session and, without doing anything, could be gifted cash. Therein lies the difference and I guess why players are being punished.

Best thing to do, if a modder gives you cash, is pull your ethernet cable out before the game saves.

Interesting as I was given $1.2m a couple of days ago. I had to sign out because I was standing still but the money kept spawning into my account after what it looked like was dropping under my feet. There was 1.2m dropped in less than 10 seconds and when I signed back in, it was still there.

The last time I saw a player recieving money having to do nothing was in the gifted cash DNS days.

Pull the ethernet cable and it's instant disconnection. Close the game as normal and you force it to save. Done this with a bounty before for sh*ts and giggles and it worked perfectly, much to my surprise.

I run my console wireless unfortunately, I decided to sign out but it saved for whatever reason within those ten seconds. I could physically see the money dropping either out of my character or under my feet. I was actually idle at the time drinking some tea when the modder appeared next to me. So I wasn't moving my character at all. I have over $20m legit, I would have no need for another million.

My situation was the same, I was just standing in one spot and bundles of cash jumping around my character.

accurately that is not a mod. There isa location on a hikers path of a Oraneg stand and that ball is on top of it. You can shoot it off it's perch then shoot a launcher shell to get the ball literally rolling now the tough part is getting it into the city so you can have a soccer match with cars but that screenie is actually legit likely. wait- maybe not because there is no way a bike be inside it.
