It doesn't always work and sometimes they still make it up the porch steps to the door and doorbell. If my doorbell rings and I see "churchies" on the porch I just make eye contact through the glass panes of the door and about face back into wherever I was disturbed from. A few times my wife has confronted them with her atheists ways...we've had probably about 4 or 5 full bibles left on our porch. I know several witnesses and they're some of the nicer people I know, they're going door to door on their spare time to try and help people. I don't see people who bash them going out and volunteering their time to try and benefit others. Not to mention their churches are one of the few who don't force you to donate, who also hand out literature and offer bible studies completely free. There are some things I don't agree with but all this hate towards them and cult/psycho talk is nonsense. Crazy people just in general exist, you're going to find them no matter where you look. By nagging them to death? If you were capable of looking at things from a different point of view other than your own maybe you'd be able to understand.. They believe god is giving people the gift of everlasting life and they're going out of their way to try and share this information with you to give you everlasting life as well. I've heard them say this is why god made the universe so enormous because given an eternity human beings would be able to populate other planets and the universe as a whole. It's really interesting really imo, they don't believe in hellfire but simply that if you reject god you will be disconnected from the source of life and become unconscious forever after you pass away.
