are GTA online to SP transitions Franklin only

everytime i switch from online character back to SP no matter who I choose it always chooses Franklin? why is this

Mostly Franklin, sometimes Michael. Never Trevor. IIRC, it was working on last gen, but now it just spawns a random protag, it seems

Funny you mention this.. I just noticed it happening to me a few days ago.

 

I always leave GTAO by holding down on the d-pad and choosing a SP character (usually Trevor, for the varied scenarios we find him in).

 

Lately I switch to Franklin no matter who I actually choose.

If Michael is unlocked, it will switch to him.

If Michael is not available, it will switch to Franklin.

If both are unavailable (right after the first heist) it will switch to Trevor.

Since I have finished the Story Mode, always Michael.

I'll switch to Michael via the wheel, and I'll always get Franklin.

 

Switch to Trevor, get Franklin.

Switch to Franklin, either get Franklin or Michael.

 

And yes I completed story mode, ending C.
