TECHN9CiAN
Im trying to use gif avatars, but no matter what gif i use, the gif doesnt animate in the avatar. And the gifs i use are within size limit, so thats not the problem. Any help on why my gif avatars dont animate as they are supposed to?
Kirsty
Can you post a link of what you're trying to upload so that we can double check the limit etc? Upload it on something like imgur.com if you need hosting.
TECHN9CiAN
http://media20.giphy.com/media/OapNdFPJMxn0c/giphy.gif?w=320 See what i mean? Same link as i used for avatar.. It animates everywhere except on my avatr Edit: idk if it makes a difference, but it shouldnt... Im doing this from my phone, i just go to desktop mode instead of mobile, and change avatars as i would do so on a PC. Kirsty
Try pasting it in without that code 320 at the end of the link, so it ends in .gif, like so: http://media20.giphy.com/media/OapNdFPJMxn0c/giphy.gif If that doesn't work, then it probably needs scaling down. I can't do that but someone from the community who is good at GFX will be able to do it for you when they see this topic.
TECHN9CiAN
Didnt work with ur suggestion, so im guessing it is a scale issues. I borrowed your avatr gif and it worked, but the one from the link didnt. Bummer. Thanks anyway kirsty, guess ill go without a gif, no biggie. Solution Tacymist Posted December 30, 2014 Solution Share Posted December 30, 2014 Yeah it's the scale causing the issue. I resized it to the forum's limit, this should work for you if you still want it animated. TECHN9CiAN and Sonny_Black
