Selling my cars in PS4 but keeping them on PS3

Just a quick question here as I am quite late to the next gen party....

 

I understand that once you have transferred from PS3 to PS4 the games then branch off, ie money made on PS4 stays on PS4 but what about vehicles? And Properties come to think of it....

 

Say I have 20 cars now on PS3 and want to keep them but want 20 different cars on PS4, can I sell the transferred over on PS4 yet keep them on PS3? Or do they disappear on both gens?

 

Hope that makes sense!?
