Locking Your Personal Vehicle

You're talking about people who lock their cars on purpose and wait for you? How gullible are you? They're obviously trolling you because you have no car..

I have cars, jackass. And most trolls run me over. These guys sit there waiting.

A successful troll is a troll that trolls without others noticing and apparently, ye haven't noticed nothin lol..

Kinda makes me wonder why we even have theft protection. your car cannot be stolen by other players in the game.

The OP should bring his own damn car to do a mission. Like ffs come prepared even if you fight like sh*t. PPL lock their cars, deal with it. You can get your own, do so. Simples

Do none of you people read? Seems to be a trend on this forum. Many times, their cars are right next to me and my car is far away for some magical reason. I can call the mechanic or use the menu, but by then they're already waiting for me to get in their cars. And besides, is it wrong that I think doing missions is better when you actually work together?

If it's happening that often then tell R*. I personally couldn't give a f*ck how you get into or don't get into someone elses car. I can tell you for a fact now tho. You won't be in mine. It'll be locked. Bring your own or here's a idea, walk. Walk to the mission, phone a taxi, walk to the road so you mechanic can actually get you your car or just troll here the rest of the night, because your doing well. Just remember one thing:

You'll not be getting a lift from me. You can f*ck right off on that front. My game is played my way, remember that.

my daily driver is never locked, no need with the remote bomb

when i get into a scuffle with other players i hope they take my ride

so i can splatter them all over vinewood boulevard

i have killed many this way, not because i'm a griefer but mostly cause most people

can't resist taking that shiny z-type when it's unlocked :D

Passengers only. I even lock it in missions because after the mission launches some moron who brought a regina to the mission steals my supercar

I find it funny how precious some people get over their cars. I personally don't like the sort of players who won't let you in their car and speed off to do the mission on their own. It's fine for a one off but we're not going to be friends.

I let anyone and everyone in my cars, if somebody takes my PV at the start of the mission then I'll just steal a car off the streets, no bother. If the idea of that upsets anyone then I suggest they remove the stick from their anus, slowly though to avoid splinters.

OK. Sometimes it takes several seconds for people to navigate the menu and reset the locks to allow you entry to the PV. This has happenned to me from time to time. Maybe just wait a bit longer.

If after say 15 - 20 seconds and the guy is still sitting there honking his horn with locked doors then move along, he is clearly being a dick or is so drunk he can't figure out that his car is locked to you.

Why do people do this? I always leave my vehicle unlocked because it adds to the spirit of the game. It's Grand Theft Auto. If people steal my car, it's fun to try to chase them back and take it. However, more and more people are locking their cars now-a-days, and worse, they leave it locked during missions. In the past few hours alone, I've had people wait at the start of missions for me to get into their car, but I can't, because they have their settings to prevent people from getting in their car. Yet they still wait. And they think that I'm the idiot when they're the ones who aren't letting me in.

I think you're an idiot for expecting a ride like some hippy hitchhiker, we're not your fuc*ing chauffeur

Get your own car and bring it to the mission

You really take this seriously dont you? Lol.

I flip mine from Crew+Friends to everyone. It's not real life. You'll get it back in like new condition. I agree that it takes a few sec to A:notice they can't get in & B: switch it to open. Even after that, the game takes another sec or 2 to unlock the door. Either be more patient or try the door once & move along.

I leave it open just for fun.. And if they do steal my ride I just let them get far.. Kick them out and request it back again. No need for lock.

This :)

They're waiting out of the goodness of their hearts because they're nice enough to wait for your car-less ass and give you a ride.

OR maybe they are calling in their Buzzard to make the mission easier for everyone. In which case, there's no way in hell that I'm giving you a ride just so that you can take control of my Buzzard's rockets from the passenger seat.

This. Really should be a option to not let passengers take buzzard rockets.

Why even do it. The passenger gets to fire 1 slow rocket with slow reload time that has to be manual aimed.

The driver gets 2 faster rockets that load faster and are auto aimed.

What's the point of a passenger even taking the rockets?

I agree with the OP. Vehicles should be open to everyone. The other day some level 10 noob got in my Vacca and drove me around for the mission. He had fun playing with a new car and I got to have fun shooting instead of driving. I've found most people are not dicks and will just have fun driving my car without leaving me stranded. With insurance working the way it does, what do I have to lose anyway?

Passengers only mode works for me. I don't want the hassle of having someone destroy my car. Get your own.

I always kick these people out and run them over until mission lives run out. Same with pretty much every mic user, or players wearing scarfs.

I've said it in another thread before, but I'll repeat, if my car is unlocked it's because it has a bomb in it...

Online is so uneventful for me now, I leave it unlocked too. If someone wants to take my car, idgaf really. I'll either not care, or try going after them or w/e I feel like, but where's the fun in unrealistically locking them out( based on the fact any player can steal f*cking military jets, but not basic cars owned by players)or magically kicking them from across the map.. I don't mind being carjacked, I wish npcs did it from time to time in fact. Gta

They already do this online. Just as long as it isn't your PV. If you steal a random npc car and drive off with it. No matter where you park it and stay inside it. If you do not move for a few minutes or leave it alone there. A random npc will throw you out of it and speed off.

Muggers will do the same thing as you may know.

oleg_aka_djmeg

it's stupid that they didn't implement an option where your friends/crew members/both have full access to the vehicle and randoms can only get in as passengers. life would be so much easier.

RedlineDrifts

Left my car unlocked once.

Came back to see it being hotboxed by 2 hobos and a hooker took a sh*t in the back.

Nvm wasn't a hooker, it was your mom...

Only difference is the passenger can shoot straight down while you hover above your target, out of range of their targeting zone.

If you have a really good pilot/co-pilot team that understands the differences and when each should control the rockets, you have a very formidable fighting force.

but yeah, most passengers just ruin the whole experience.
