Happy Holidays from the GTANet team!

What are the 5 (or 10) hardest GTA missions of the PS2 era?

So I just finished GTA 3 and with it all the games from that era. GTA 3 was boring but anyway. What are your 10 hardest GTA missions?

Mine

1) The Driver VC

2) Jive Drive, VCS

3) Supply Lines, SA

4) Unfriendly Competition, VCS (probably the most difficult shoot out)

5) The Exchange, GTA3

6) End of the Line, SA

7) The Exchange, VCS (that analogue controls)

8) Air Raid, SA

9) Wrong Side of the Tracks, SA

10) Mathas Mugshot, VC OR maybe that San Andreas mission where you return to LC.

I was so happy to find out you don't actually have to do the Zero missions.

1. Freefall (SA) - f*ck this mission. It should have been cut.

2. Supply Lines... - eh

3. Smackdown (A) - This one is pretty tough too.

WildBrick142
  1. Ragin' RC (LCS)
  2. Paramedic (III)
  3. Unfriendly Competition (VCS)
  4. The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade (LCS)
  5. Martha's Mug Shot (VC)

All of these made me rage because of failing too much at some point. Especially the very first one - it almost made me smash my PSP in half.

They're all easy for me now (except the first two) but they can still be challenging from time to time.

For PS2? Boomshine Blowout and Supply lines. Nothing more

The Driver is miles ahead of any mission in terms of difficulty. I was stuck on that mission for 2 weeks. Nearly gave up on the game. Started playing again after 3 months and beat it (had to use cheats anyway so I haven't really beaten it).

I've never been stuck on a mission that long, and no other mission has made me feel like giving up on a game.

-That mission in San Andreas where you fly an RC plane and blow up vans. That sh*t took me like 5 tries, and with my short temper and lack of patience, that's a lot.

-The mission in VCS that involved going to different police stations and blowing up communication antennae was impossible for me without bringing a helicopter along on the mission. I swear the FBI in VCS is the most brutal law enforcement in the GTA series.

-An early mission in VCS that involves removing boomshine from a warehouse that's on fire. The forklift was a pain in the ass to learn to use.

Other than that, nothing comes to mind.

In no particular order:

Turn On, Tune In, Bug Out (VCS) - What Inbred Walrus said about the FBI, they're ridiculously powerful... I still cant pass it today.

Flight School (SA) - Back when I was younger, I never completed it.

Cop Land (VC) - Again, brutal III Era FBI, I had to get a tank to complete the thing (before I found out there is a helicopter around the corner, so hour camping for tank wasted...).

Zero Mission (SA) - Dont even get me started.

Big Smoke not being able to shoot a guy while you keep the bike right on target.

But the last zero mission in SA was hellish and easily the worst.

555 WE-TIP used to be a total asshole to beat back in 05 for me. But now I can play it and not f*ck up at all. I can't think of any I struggle on without me just being an idiot and f*cking it up myself. Maybe one of the Toreno missions.

Boomshine Blowout was a pain in the ass for me. After many attempts I gave up for a month, and then came back and beat it in one try. My advice to you is if you're failing a mission over and over and getting mad, stop and try again later, so the anger doesn't cloud your thinking and increase your chance to f*ck up. It works for me, so perhaps it'll work for you too.

The Detective

1 - Unfriendly Competition (VCS) - When I was completing the game for the first time it took a lot of attempts to finish it, those women with AK appearing everywhere wtf

2 - The Driver (VC) - Hope that Hilary hit something aaaand no, he did a perfect race.

3 - Supply Lines (SA) - No explanation

Some missions were not difficult but as I was messing with the police and the enemies I always ended up dying.

Flesh-n-Bone

The Driver (VC) - so stupid, what's the point of hiring a driver if you can beat him in a race with a far inferior vehicle?

Air Raid (SA) - joypad is harder to use than a mouse

Supply Lines (SA) - less fuel in the PS2 version makes it a bit challenging

Taking the Peace (LCS) - not as hard nowadays but still, the FPS view makes it hard to control the car properly

N.O.E. (SA) - one little mistake and you'll have to start over

Even those are easy enough for me, but they stand out as the ones I might fail nowadays if I play through. Everything else is a piece of cake after the number of times I've played through them.

My list;

The Driver (VC).

Zero's missions [all were annoying] (SA).

The Portland Chainsaw Masquerade (LCS).

Dead Meat, running after the target in that mission was extremely frustrating! (LCS)

Wrong Side Of The Tracks (SA).

I think it was only last year I found that out. Edited by Wayne Daniels

There's a mission in 3 that have you drive a Securicar a long distance with tonnes of cops on you. I died and I died and I died.
