Do you think heists will be farmable?

apparently leader will get biggest cut but they will not get payouts from heist setup until they finish the heist , unlike members

My thoughts are that the leader will get the biggest cut because they have to put up their own money to start a heist. If we assume that the picture below is real & that all players are getting an equal cut of %15 after expenses, then that would mean the crew leader would have to pay %40 of the heist payout ($268,000) in expenses.

rPVemPQ.png

Even if the heist leader only had 25% upfront expenses & made 30% instead of %15, then that would still mean that he/she would have to risk $167,500 of their own money to attempt the heist. So unless you have a really strong crew/group of friends to play with, I really don't see the average player trying to farm heists due to the risk/reward factor.

huh , only few details i've seen but never heard of this one

determinant cut may not balance as " greed " will gives least amount . so fixed cut will do

they better be farmable and not " single " play heist due to least amount of heists ( I.E fleeca bank , kuruma transports , selling fighter jets , etc )

The thing I'm more worried about is what will happen if a crew member get disconnected during the heist! Will other players be able to continue as if he was killed or does that just screw everything up?

no worries with death . call jeff to " use his necromancy magic " to reanimate the crew's corpse

in fact , jeff is also heist planner like lester

there's another leak i'd guess , the programmable AR ( XM25 GL ) . can't wait to blast some tubers with standard tube

Well a long time ago I read that the currently useless Job Points (JP) were for heists. Like you had to get 100 or so before you could start one. My guess would be you'd lose all the job points after a heist and have to wait one real day to start another. Obviously, they heists will be nerfed like missions where you get 50% of the cut upon replaying it.

A little bit off-topic but I think the crew leader choosing the cut is dumb. I mean I'm not gonna play with a bunch of randoms, and I don't expect my friends to jip me, but still. If it's a four man job, why not just cut the whole thing so everyone gets 25%?

Whoa wait The hiest leader has to put up a couple hundred k just to start one? That sounds like bullsh*t. I wouldn't mind like 50k but a few hundred is bullsh*t and only hackers/glitchers will be able to do heists often...

Are you the leader potentially risking YOUR money out of YOUR pocket? No? Then you get a lower cut. If it succeeds, you get pure profit. If you don't succeed, you lose nothing.

That leader? If you succeed, their cut has to both pay what they put in AND be a profit worth risking it for. You failed? They LOSE the money THEY put in.

Of course this only applies if the speculated risk system is an actual thing on release.

Edit: It could also bring in a new element to the game: Notoriety.

Make a name for yourself as a competent heister and you'll recieve more heist contracts with a higher cut from people looking to have a higher chance of success.

Once again, it only takes like an hour at most to get 100,000 from The Los Santos Connection

People really exaggerate how hard it is to get a couple hundred thousand dollars.

I wonder how they're going to deal with the whole disconnecting and quitting players thing. And their cuts. Will players be able to join mid-heist to replace others? Will cuts be sub-cut and rewards be given according to completed sub-missions like sourcing a vehicle? Will these possible sub-missions be treated like the jobs we currently have? Will a player who has to disconnect due to irl issues (I doubt I have the time for a complete heist, like ever) get nothing at all?

There has to be something for possible disconnects and stuff, but I'd say generally the idea is that you shouldn't do it with complete randoms.

SaturdayNight

Ive got a horrible feeling they're gonna do the same to heists as they did to the flight school, but then at the same time since the host has to invest a lot of money we may get a lot of money each time we do it

I think a cool down is going to be in effect. At least I hope. There's gotta be a reason why that there's going to be the whole heist leader thing in place

They will make them take so long that it won't be worth it after the cut.

They will probably take so long that it won't be worth it after the cut.

I think there will be a waiting period before you can replay a heist.

That or we'll get a massive diminishing returns, in terms of payout, each time we complete it.

I think a heist will take a hour or more to do, as pointed out earlier in the tread that there will be restrictions to join a heist. One that is confirmed is that u must be at least level 12.

On my wish list for heists is something like ocean eleven, a really big heist whit 6 or 8 people.

There will probably be more of them added later and hopefully bigger and bolder heists.

And for the question in the topic: No they won't be farmable. For the first reason it will take time to complete them, think a really long Los Santos Connection . Second u need friends who u trust and are dependable.

Since Rockstar's so horny for cash cards, they wouldn't let people complete heists one after another and earn massive amounts of money.

Actually would that make the mission system extremely unbalanced. It's a wise decision not to let people repeat heists one after another.

Lower payouts and higher playing frequency or vice versa.

With a heist payout that may be hundreds of thousands of dollars, do you think that players will be given the opportunity to replay them for more profit, or do you think that Rockstar will implement some sort of limit that would prevent another "Rooftop Rumble Farm Era" and encourage players to buy more kesh kurds?

1) Heists are NOT going to pay out "hundreds of thousands of dollars." If they did, Rockstar would lose money on Shark Cards and you can guarantee they are not going to allow that to happen. After all expenses you might clear $50-75K and keep in mind that the leader or host of the heist has to front all the money up front BEFORE anyone gets paid.

2) We're only going to be able to do a heist every so often. Rockstar hasn't released the exact details but I already know we won't be able to play over and over again.

3) Heists are going to take a lot of time to complete. The average heist is expected to take 1.5 - 2 hours to complete in full,

4) Heists will be extremely difficult to complete. There will NOT be an easy setting because the more we fail, the less money we make the better Rockstar does.

5) Heists are "smoke and mirrors" designed to make us think Rockstar is giving us something great when in the end, we're not going to make all that much money at all. That's simply the reality of it all.

Welcome to GTA Online :/

Yeah, it sucks, but the game has been a grind fest from the start. My main point was that the idea of ONLY hackers and glitchers being able to do heists is bullsh*t because it's not that hard to earn money.

Wasn't it said somewhere that you need a certain amount of Job Points to trigger a heist? Makes sense if you ask me.

Yeah, I remember something like that being found in patch data at the start of the year.

I'd have to think it has been dropped, if it was ever real to begin with simply because they've been talking about needing money to start it and haven't mentioned job points at all with the last reveal.

I think that heists are going to fall below a few peoples expectations. Particularly in terms of payout. In the end it'll either come down to moderate payouts or extended wait times between scores. I can't see Rockstar releasing anything that could invalidate the market for cash card sales. If anything, I think that the heists will be released alongside an array of highly expensive properties, weapons and vehicles. If they can be player owned, the Hydra and Hunter certainly won't be cheap.

Sure, you could do a few heists to make what you need, potentially risk invested funds and time in the difficulty of the job. Or, you could buy a cash card and have what you want right away.

Think of it like The High Life Update, only with less money glitching.

first of all it's easy too earn 200,000+ if you play missions, and jobs instead of mucking around in free mode. Spewing Rpg's.

Second it will probably be similar too the raid system in dc universe online where that raid is locked 4 24 hours, unless one pays 1.99 to unlock early...

Third share the leader ship duties and the costs will be recouped quickly. Player A hosts first run, player b second, player c third etc.

Really hope this isn't true. I hardly play for more than an hour at a time. Can't imagine having to play a single mission for that long, and trust other people to even stay through all of it. Not even the SP heists are more than like 30 mins.

I think job points will be used to play hiests so 500 jp between four players for a medium hiest, But who knows but i definitely think it is something to do with job points, Because who is gonna wanna play missions when hiests come out? Not many. So do missions to get Jp to do a hiest, As well as the leader needing to pay for equipment etc

My guess is that JP will play a role in heists. You will have to do other jobs before a heist.

Yeah exactly what i think :) its what i said also Edited by Gazaag

Maybe you'll have to put up money for the heist first and you lose it if you fail...you never know

now THAT, would be friggin awesome. Add some type of risk element to the game yeh? except for the babies who'd cry and moan that the game is now too hard or risky. we should be able to put up property, money or cars. Fail the heist, you lose your investment.. plain and simple.

The payout would have to be high enough as incentive to do such a risky thing. BUT, i bet people would actually try to work together to do heists instead of trolling in missions like they do now like run you over, blow up you PV when you're shooting at enemies, etc.

Didn't rockstar say this back at launch anyway? Either that or I have powers which allow me to see into the future. I've been telling everyone that JP were for heists (e.g. What's RP and JP?)

Unlikely.

They're probably going to work the way they do in single player. Once you pull off a heist there will be a laying low period, during this time everyone who was part of the heist will have to wait a certain time before they can do another one.

They'll probably be difficult at first, since nobody will know what the f*ck to do, making the profit seem fair. Once people learn how to farm them easily and quickly, the payout will get nerfed into the ground and nobody will do heists anymore.
