Do you think heists will be farmable?

With a heist payout that may be hundreds of thousands of dollars, do you think that players will be given the opportunity to replay them for more profit, or do you think that Rockstar will implement some sort of limit that would prevent another "Rooftop Rumble Farm Era" and encourage players to buy more kesh kurds?

Ive got a horrible feeling they're gonna do the same to heists as they did to the flight school, but then at the same time since the host has to invest a lot of money we may get a lot of money each time we do it

I'm sure I read that R* said we would be able to replay the heists because the crew leader would be overall

responsible for the payout on successfull completion of the heist but I think this is one of those things we

shall have to wait and see what happens.

I wonder how heist prep will be during freeroam. Like are we going to have all these crazy vehicles that will be required for heist missions just driving around?

I'm sure rockstar will put some kind of damper on doing heist missions.

I think there will be a waiting period before you can replay a heist.

Since Rockstar's so horny for cash cards, they wouldn't let people complete heists one after another and earn massive amounts of money.

 

I think Rockstar could be greedy enough to say 1 - 2 heists per week maybe.

I'd guess that there will be a wait period between heists, R* won't want us to get burned out on them. Or make too much money if the payout is huge.

Its probably also worth mentioning they might implement a delay before the heist team actually receive the payout

from the heist as if the pay system works the same as story mode it may be a few game days before Lester

processes the monies to your accounts.

 

As for vehicles roaming about in free roam I've wondered about this, I suspect you'll find that they will be

spawning vehicles but only once you've begun the heist again similar to story modes heists.

Guess everyone forgot about job points. Those were implemented for heists. After heists we will have to do more missions to gain JP to be able to do heists. You can't farm regular missions so I don't see why we would be allowed to farm what will be the highest paying mission(as long as rockstar doesn't f*ck up the payouts).

Who knows? Nobody has any idea what they will even be...

 

Maybe you'll have to put up money for the heist first and you lose it if you fail...you never know

I think they will be farm able but they won't be any more beneficial to farm than regular missions.

 

They've said a complete heist takes at least an hour I believe. We're looking at probably an average payout of 100,000 to 200,000 per person per heist. You can do an hour of The Lost Santos Connection and you might hit around 100,000 dollars for doing that, so you're not making much more money by doing heists, you're just having more fun.

 

There won't be much of a benefit to farming heists, IMO. Especially if they make new items cost upwards of 5 million.

Exactly this, Who knows how many job points we will need and if we just get enough for just completing the set up tasks. Job points don't have squat to do with heists. A lot of people have thought this for a long time because they didn't understand what they're really used for, which is: they determine the winner of a playlist of jobs. That's it. If you do a playlist of various jobs, you'll see people get assigned different numbers of job points based on how they did. (It's mostly the same across the board for missions, but the PvP modes all have wide assortments of job points assigned - e.g. in a race, 1st place gets 15, 2nd gets 12, etc. and DNFs get zero.) As you run through the playlist, it keeps a running total of job points for each player and at the end, the person with the most JP wins. That's it; that's all they are used for, and there is no ongoing bank of job points saved up once you exit the playlist or individual job. It won't be involved in heists in any way, I can basically guarantee.

That's not a good idea. Considering one of the heists only pays around $100,000 if the pictures we saw are the final representation.

 

I can make that in 7 or 8 missions (about an hour).

It's an excellent idea and would give hists some longevity. The missions have become stale as we can all play them over and over again.

I expect youtube videos of exploits, with crap dollar signs and cash design for thumbnail video pick, douche voice begging for likes and subscription, have his character do the jerk animation or driving around in his garbage mobile, etc.

apparently leader will get biggest cut but they will not get payouts from heist setup until they finish the heist , unlike members

The thing I'm more worried about is what will happen if a crew member get disconnected during the heist! Will other players be able to continue as if he was killed or does that just screw everything up?

Heist payouts will be the biggest joke you've seen in a year. Probably on a "keep em poor" timer like every other useless thing in the game currently.

I expect that you can do a heist once a week before you have to wait for a weekly reset day to do another. That and you have to farm for job points to activate the call from lester that could come any time after you reach x amount of job points.

In the R* heists trailer there is a shot of the planning board. It says something like potental take 650 k$. So with 4 gangmembers the cut will be 100 - 150 k$ clean for a gig, I guess. Sounds a lot but I think a gig takes one hour of work. Not to mention the usual griefers and randumbs you encounter during a normal mission. R* says 5 different heist missions with a total of 20 hours gameplay. On the planning board there were 4 steps to perform to complete each heist.

 

But anything new is better than grinding the existing missions. High paying normal missions yield 20k$ clean for 10-15 minutes of work. Say you can perform 4-5 each hour. Then heist yield more / hour work. Getting people to work as a team will be the challange.

My thoughts are that the leader will get the biggest cut because they have to put up their own money to start a heist. If we assume that the picture below is real & that all players are getting an equal cut of %15 after expenses, then that would mean the crew leader would have to pay %40 of the heist payout ($268,000) in expenses.

Even if the heist leader only had 25% upfront expenses & made 30% instead of %15, then that would still mean that he/she would have to risk $167,500 of their own money to attempt the heist. So unless you have a really strong crew/group of friends to play with, I really don't see the average player trying to farm heists due to the risk/reward factor.

Once heists come out, I think that'll be the 'death knell' of Online and Rockstar knows it, hence the delays and 'free' updates. Milk the game for all the revenue it's worth then abandon its multiplayer feature. If there's free updates after, great, but I doubt it. I mean, hell, that's why car modding prices are absurdly high compared to single player to begin with.
