LewisMiller
Hello, I put on these Scirocco door sills which should look like this and the right hand side does however the left side looks like this after about a week they had the m3 adhesive strip on the back Big version They are cheap copies of VW ones which cost £100 more I got them off eBay from china and I can't get a refund from them so I was wondering if I can glue them on or something if not i'll just buy a new one. universetwisters
I'd buy a new one if I were you, or at least stay away from knockoffs because they're mostly for show rather than any practical use.
sivispacem
Moral of the story- don't buy Chinese knock-offs from eBay. You can afford a Scirocco, you can afford to buy real parts for it. universetwisters, Dock, Flachbau and 1 other 4 AMD Ryzen 5900X (4.65GHz All-Core PBO2) | Gigabye X570S Pro | 32GB G-Skill Trident Z RGB 3600MHz CL16 EK-Quantum Reflection D5 | XSPC D5 PWM | TechN/Heatkiller Blocks | HardwareLabs GTS & GTX 360 Radiators Corsair AX750 | Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic XL | EVGA GeForce RTX2080 XC @2055MHz | Sabrant Rocket Plus 1TB Sabrant Rocket 2TB | Samsung 970 Evo 1TB | 2x ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q | Q Acoustics 2010i | Sabaj A4

They didn't end up like that because of "use", they ended up like that because they're crap. epoxi
Time to get some lube and a credit card to start scraping that adhesive off (just make sure whatever you are using won't damage the paint). Cudwieser

LewisMiller
Well i i have removed it now, no damage to the paint, it appears that there wasn't any adhesive on the end of the strip which caused it to go up a bit and then it got caught on the door and has pulled it back. 79'Blazer4x4
I don't usually trust things that adhere anyway. they always peel eventually. It would be better if you could screw them on somehow, but that would mean drilling holes in the car to accommodate the screws.

epoxi
It would be better if you could screw them on somehow, but that would mean drilling holes in the car to accommodate the screws. I would be very hesitant to drill holes in an area with lots of moisture like a door sill, and I would probably refrain from drilling holes in anything fewer than 3 years old. No holes yet, cars only got just over 600 miles on it.

If you glue it right, it will stay forever, look at the fighter jets that are pretty much bonded together. Cudwieser

Killerdude
Why would you ever spend money on somthing that goes in the door sill? I mean, If it was a strip of trim for the side of your car, I could understand, But for a spot on the car that is almost never looked at? Seems like a waste.
