[VM] Xbox One Car-Meet & Cruise - January 1st 2015

Hello Everybody,

We are going to be seeing the new year in with style! Vinewood Mafiosos will be hosting our first public car meet and cruise and hope we can tempt you into joining us. We have some basic rules, as outlined below.

 

Car Meet & Cruise - 01/01/2015 - 6pm to 9pm GMT (12pm to 3pm CST)

Allowed Car Classes;

Coupe
Sedan
Muscle
Sport Classic
SUV (if possible, the road based SUV's, such as baller2)

Compacts

Exceptions will be made for cars that still fit the car cruise theme, whilst not fitting the outlined classes*

Do's and Don'ts

Do follow instructions if given
Do act like a real person (walk around the cars instead of running, parking instead of Ace Venture handbrake parking)
Do have a mic, chat and be social
Do match you character to your car (Bikers don't tend to wear floral short-shorts where I am from)
Do be patient (These things are hard to coordinate, but we try to keep things flowing smoothly)

Don't intentionally kill
Don't intentionally crash
Don't chat abusive, derogatory or racist chat

Mic's are mandatory, you wont be expected to talk all the time, but its alot easier when we can talk when we need to.

 

The Plan

 

The plan so far (subject to change) is to meet at 6pm GMT (12pmCST) at the Auto Body shop in East Vinewood, once there we will meet and greet everybody and make sure everything is in order, grab some pictures and warm up the tyres. Once everyone is happy we will cruise together to our first proper meet point. Everyone can then park up and do any finishing touches they need (Lowering or hood popping) and the real fun begins.

SavageKiller and I will be capture carding and will be cruising past all the cars and players for footage to be edited into a youtube video, where everyone who attended will be credited.

After that, we will be doing some chain-gang runs through hills on Vinewood, the aim here isnt to be fast, but to keep the chain of cars cruising down the snake-runs together. I plan to film these runs from both on foot, back of a motorcycle, and also from the side of a chopper. Should make for some awesome shots, but we may have to do a few runs at this to get it right.

After that another cruise to the second showcase location where we will be conducting a Show & Shine competition. Everyone who wishes can enter their cars and we will all vote for which car they wish to win that particular category by standing by the car of choice. So far, we have;

Best Awd
Best in show

Then, once everyone has collected their trophies, we will finally move to the spillway, for good old-fashioned drag racing. Players will line up in pairs, and wait to be started by a player doing an action. Everybody knows how drag racing works from here on in. Then all that would leave us would be the obligatory, get police after us, and scatter from the spillway in every direction finale.

Im hoping that once we being the meet that somebody else will be handling the invites, who that person(s) is yet isn't decided, but I will update that information also. This is just so that when we are filming, we don't ruin any good shots with notifications popping up.
