Error2k
I'm wondering who would win this hands only fight. Both protagonists had military training, both of them had some cool combos. Vic could even grab people and throw them or beat them with his knee. What do you think, Vic or Niko?
ClaudX
Niko. It's not difficult to defeat a corpse. Ezza., tranceking26, The Dedito Gae and 7 others

Mr_Leone
Vic has a one hit kill move with the neck snap so I will go with him. Vic is in good shape, too. I'd say his punches are powerful. Niko has the technique and better defense but not enough power. UshaB and MrDeSanta
donnits
Actually one of the better versus here on the forums. You should add a poll to this. Niobium
UshaB
I'd have to say Niko, based upon the amount of techniques he has, whereas Vic (my favourite protag) has wrestling moves which is all about strength. However strength vs technique, I'd go with technique anyday. So Niko wins.

PhillBellic
Neither. The both of them will meet up, reminisce about their shared military histories, become good friends, and ride off into the sunset. I know it is cheesy as fu*k, but my point stands. Niko, and Vic are in my top four in my favourite protagonists list. Flesh-n-Bone, UshaB, Drunken Cowboy and 5 others
Officer Ronson
Well you're putting up an US Marine against a Yugoslavian Soldier... but because I just don't want to get yelled at i'll say that there's a high chance that Victor might win. He wasn't a Marine, he was a soldier AFAIK. Speaking of, for being a soldier, Vic sure has a lot of freedom to go wherever he wants and do whatever, at least before getting kicked out. MrDeSanta
Vic, no doubt about that. He was a soldier in US and they are better trained than some former Yugoslavian soldier. I talk from 1.st hand, NATO foot polk units. Soldiers for the Bosnian war had very little hand combat training. Amphetamines did the best out of them. So i wouldn`t say Niko would win vs Vic hand to hand even if he seems to know some KM stuff. I met many US soldiers and almost all of them were mean motherf*ckers. Bare hand killing machines. Of course it`s hard to say it in general like that, it depends much on the sector but the training for us is no diferent than for any common police officer in EU. But Vic is dead that so this discuss has no meanings. Vice City criminal

Flesh-n-Bone
Vic would win I think. He's muscular, stronger and has great moves. I don't remember everything Niko could do but from what I do, he's got enough to defeat the average guy in the streets but not enough to beat an experienced and strong man like Vic. Neither. The both of them will meet up, reminisce about their shared military histories, become good friends, and ride off into the sunset. I know it is cheesy as fu*k, but my point stands. Niko, and Vic are in my top four in my favourite protagonists list. That's the way I like to imagine my stories with the GTA protagonists.
UshaB
Niko was a Yugoslavian soldier, Vic was a US soldier (or something). That's not really relevant. Base their attributes of what has been displayed in the game and what you can do in the game. Maybe in the GTA- World Yugoslavian soldiers are better than the soldiers of the US. Yes, Niko was probably a Serbian (or Serbo-Bosnian soldier) soldier who fought in the Serbian side of the war in Bosnia in 1994. Now even the comparing USA military personell to the Serbian is just comic. You can`t compare the world`s No.1 force which makes it`s soldiers bare hand killers to the soldier of poor little country in the middle of Balkan which barely diged itself out of the 45-years old comunism regime. But if we leave the politics aside, it`s a GTA game and in a game like GTA everything is possible, just like you said. But even in GTA Vic snaps necks in the navy seal style, throws opponents in MMA style, kneekicks them in the back and plenty of more badass military moves. Alot more than Niko. Niko is a better GTA protagonist but i think he wouldn`t stand a chance against Vic in a hand combat. American Viking
The thing is, you cannot compare what they can do in-game because that is just gameplay mechanics...for example you said Vic can grab people. You have to compare their backgrounds and skills. All I know about Vic Vance is that he served in the Army but I don't think it's mentioned what kind of CQC training he received so I'm assuming basic combatives. Niko on the other hand, although not serving in the Special Forces, he has acquired a vast skill set in Krav Maga. Also consider who they are as people. Niko grew up in a harsh environment and didn't even have electricity until he was 12, he fought in the war as a teenager, and he saw the people he grew up with betrayed and murdered in front of him. Than after the war, he was chased out of Europe by Ray Bulgarin who thought Niko had crossed him. I mention these things bc in a dogfight, it comes down to who wants it more and Niko has learned over time how to endure, how to survive. Winner: Niko Bellic. Jeansowaty
Eh, first of all I don't think they would have met (Universes thing, Vic being already dead in the 80's and all, when he would have survived he'd be like 60 years old when fighting Niko in 2008, lol ). Second, IF a fight would have happened, I doubt any would win. They would have most likely just killed each other and both would be dead, or they would decide to stop the fight and become friends. Lemoyne outlaw
i always thought both characters were similar. they were both in the military both had to deal with an annoying relative (lance and roman) which dont get me wrong i love both characters but niko and vic found them annoying sometimes. and were both betrayed by someone they thought they trusted. and they both proved how strong they are in cutscenes were vic picks up lance with one hand and niko twists brucies arm. it would be a tough battle and i would say niko might win but thats my guess. i always thought they would be good friends because of their similarities. and roman and lance would be friends too because there both party guys and optomists.
