Yes 2 did drop but the other hat was a glitch item that only a few where getting.

I'm pissed, I wasn't able to get online until the 28th. Which mean I f*cking missed the please stop me mask. I wasn't online when the LTS update released so I'm screwed. No Mask for me, and all the crate drops I got today were the same thing. Boo f*cking hoo man.

I got 6 special crates when the Patriot ones were dropping, all of them were patriots.

How can you tell if they are glitched; or can you tell if they are or not?

I got the j lager,already got 3 crates today,same way i got the j lager,only got benedict,im so angry,rock* need to make an official day for these hats

Ha! This strengthens my theory of not having 2 items from the same event consecutively. Which would suggest that in the last 2 days we'll have either KJAH or Bounce FM, and either Homies Sharp or Vinyl Countdown.

I got 6 special crates when the Patriot ones were dropping, all of them were patriots.

How can you tell if they are glitched; or can you tell if they are or not?

 

For myself i needed to grab around 8 to 10 crates before the J-Lager showed up for me

It depends on luck, I think, since there's no exact pattern to identify whether either the J Lager or Blarneys beer hats is in the special crate drop. I got the Blarneys Beer Hat in the special crate drop (when Supa Wet Beer Hat was dropping) shortly after I finished a mission and returned on free roam and got myself the J Lager Beer Hat after collecting 4 special crates in 4 different sessions (during the Patriot Beer Hat was dropping).

 

 

Anyone gets the Pisswasser Beer Hat in the special crate today, besides the Benedict?

So I just tried playing a mission and picking up a crate in the lobby it dropped me in after, and it worked... somewhat. I collected the Pisswasser hat on what is supposed to be the Benedict.

 

Nothing special, just played rooftop rumble before collecting. I'll be experimenting a bit more now.

^ I joined 10+ contact missions, 5 races and a few DMs/other jobs, and went to Free Mode by voting for it and by quitting out, and then collected the first crate in that lobby I joined, sometimes after notifications and a couple of times when it had already fallen into the lobby. Sometimes I then collected 2 or 3 further crates in succession in these lobbies.

 

None of these crates were anything other than what I expected

After that I played a mission of rooftop rumble, got back to free mode after finishing and I got the message that a crate would drop in 3 hours.

I was driving about 1 minute and I got the message that the crate has been dropped. I thought ok lol np and collected it and a pisswasser beer hat was in it.

It is kinda buggy because it said when I entered the free mode "Special Crate Drops on 3 Hours"

Then I just called pegasus for a buzzard but in this time the crate was already dropped. I had luck that I got it before someone rips it.

I guess thats the trick to get the pisswasser hat

That's not really a bug. When you join a free roam session, if a crate drop is active you get the last notification that was sent out, whatever that was. Then you get the next notification at the correct time. So it's possible to join a lobby and get "crate drop in 10 hours," then almost immediately get "crate drop in 5 hours." Or in your case, drop in 3 and then drop inbound. I assume it's programmed that way so that you know the drop is coming and can prepare yourself, but they don't have other messages that would tell you exactly how many hours it is - 10, 5, and 3 are all there is.

So lobby-hopping was unsuccessful in regards to getting an abnormal crate drop. I got more crates faster, but they were consistently Benedict.

 

At the moment I'm staying put in one lobby with my 15 measly JP from rooftop rumble (JP are wiped away if you hop lobbies after a job). I've taken 2 crates in this lobby, both were Benedict. I'll stay awake long enough to take 1 or 2 more, just to gather as much info as possible on this while Benedict is still dropping.
