PlayStation Network & Xbox Live hit by Hackers

Only good thing is that somehow my purchased games brought before the outage are still downloading, albeit slowly.

Come on Dragon Age and Shadow of Mordor!

Calm down mate. You were wrong in saying that this was larger than an isolated incident. Rather simply, this situation is isolated to Sony's servers, not XBL. *Note that the title says XBL AND PSN hit by hackers, not just PSN

But you wanna have this argument? PM me, no need to clog this thread with spam any more that what has already been done.

Dude...DUDE.

XBL is ALSO HAVING PROBLEMS RIGHT NOW, but that has no bearing on what we were commenting about. I was responding to was you saying that it was isolated to "one or two regions", which is total bullsh*t. BamBam's post only explains why those who managed to get on again before Sony killed the servers were still able to play (which is also totally correct, BTW).

So there's nothing to argue about...YOU were wrong, I was not.

Moving on...

I did, and me and 27 of the people on my friends list are currently Online, which is more than the "sh*t ton" of people on the last page that can't sign in.

So I stand by my aforementioned statement, it must simply be an isolated incident, locked to maybe one or two regions. Jeez, calm the f*ck down and chill out. it'll be back up soon, just Chill

You know that there's a world outside of this forum, right? Look around that world and you'll see that you're wrong. Be glad that you and 27 of your friends can play on the other side of the world, but it is totally correct to say that this is affecting many more people than an "isolated incident".

For people saying they were signed in on PS3 just remember if your online before the PSN servers are turned off you will stay online in the online part of the game for the whole duration of the downtime as it hands you over to the games server to keep you onine or have you lot forgot about that feature that SONY always told us if they were planning to take the servers offline. (not sure how it works on xbox though)

See? There's the reason me and my friends are online. @TheKingChivas, we were both wrong, so I apologise for that.

How the f*ck was I wrong?

Chill out guys, it seems that mostly Europe is affected. The comments (and the little flags under your names) here suggest that PSN in the US, Canada and Australia is up. Although it was definitely down in the UK throughout the day.

I can assure you, PSN is down here in Canada. At least in, Southern Ontario. Edited by Fozzie_420

I was online around 3-4 pm GMT on boxing day in the UK, got me a please stop me mask (which is lucky because I missed it 1st time round). Can't get on now though - I'd have been gutted if today was K-Jah t-shirt day, I hope they sort it by the time they drop K-Jah shirts.

PSN for PS3 was Up and mostly unaffected throughout the 24,25 & 26th until Sony took PSN Offline for Maintenance, taking PSN for PS3 Offline also...

To my knowledge no-one anywhere (including US, Canada & Australia) have been able to play Online on PS4 since all of this started on the 25th...In particular I have not been able to play Online on PS4 in Australia or hear of anyone here doing since whenever services went down for PS4 completely on the 25th.

After 6 pm my time on 25th I did not try to play again until the 26th and have been unable to connect since then. Had issues starting on the 25th itself.

Oh well, my theory is destroyed then I guess:D I seemed up, given that people from US and Canada commented here about being able to play..

Your credit card access isn't safe. We didn't get access to it, but someone who knows what they are doing might".

I'm sorry but wtf was the point of that interview. Get 2-3 people who have no f*ckin idea of what is going on talking to someone who just learnt how to use bots. They have no f*ckin idea what they are talking about.

It's funny because the Lizardsquad thinks that they won't get caught in that interview, and that the police wouldn't have any evidence, and they would be free to go.

Boyyyyyyy, are they wrong; here's why:

-They already admitted and took full responsibility for the attacks on PSN, Xbox, etc. (Arrogant.)

-By the time this is over, the entire group will be considered "cyber criminals" (I don't think they know what they're getting into.)

Consequences:

-Fines (Thousands of dollars.)

-Jail Time (Maybe months to years if convicted?)

Now Lizardsquad, after reading everything you already admitted to, and rightfully acknowledged the consequences, will all of this hacking multi-million dollar companies really be worth the while?

I think not.

I'm just hoping maintenance will be done by the time I wake up, so I can just wake up, change my password real quick, then play. Sony at least put the cocktails down.

They need to be killed point blank, they just don't have no compassion at all whatsoever. No jail time just cut their heads off cartel style and make an example out of them.

They didn't hack information, changing your password is pointless
