Not gonna be able to get the special crate drop mask now. Thanks for ruining my Christmas Sony.

It's not Sony's fault.

Well i just hope that both PSN and XBL are back online without issues soon. Due to these issues i was thinking to myself what it must have been like to be 18 in 1970 when we didn't have all these services. And to be honest with everyone here, some people enjoy playing games way to much, but then again each to their own right.

Really, I did not think that it was that serious, merely comparing two different decades when it comes to technology, i bet you life was simple back then. Besides back in the 70's people probably thought there would be flying cars everywhere in this decade (And yes i know there is 'flying cars')

are you an alien or something m8 talk 2 ur parents ofcorse thats what they thot get a ph.d in learnding

what a douchebag

Let's be honest. If they weren't playing video games they would probably be doing something less constructive and/or harmful like they did in the 70's when everyone was smoking pot, dropping acid, experimenting with "free love", and getting syphilis.

You can thank the low rates of syphilis to people playing games and not bumping uglies. (It helped a little, I imagine)

Hey, it could be the 80's when everyone was doing coke, wearing day-glo, and playing Colecovision. Those were the days.

Back in the 1970's advancements in technology were being discovered(ethernet and laser printers and so on). Ohh and have you heard of roller blades they were invented in the 1970's. Did anybody get a pair for christmas....

Is there even a decade in which there WASN'T a slightly major invention? I don't get your point. You think the because of the absence of games as we have today, people just decided to get a PhD in their free time instead?

Lizard Squad are speaking out on BBCLIVE!

"Im doing this for amusement, but also keep in mind that would you trust this company with your credit card info?"

"Im doing this because i want to show ppl how unreliable sony is"

To hell with sony is what youre saying?

"I am 22, but i got a 10 year old brother and he was really sad last night"

Why?

"Because i can"

f*cking asshole

This is boredom taken to the next level. They looked at M$ and Sony as the Christmas Grinch but they became it themselves. Fukin looser. 22yr old and still have the mentality of a angry 14y/o kid.

With the way they keep talking and talking on the social media shows that it isn't boredom, but rather a false sense of importance.

Like someone else here says. It's pretty obvious that they did this for sh*ts and giggles.

They use the hero excuse to back their wrong doings that makes it seem to be "false sense of importance" But the fact is. MS and Sony wouldn't be able to stop this with a better security system. Not without a longer time frame and a huge investment. LS knew this!

They wanted entertainment and they got it.

if you guys are questioning the 1970s just think about the 1800s or before they didint have cars let alone video games.

See that is my point man. Back in the times when we did not have the things that we have now

What has credit card info have to got with a ddos attack? They're acting like they have peoples private information when they have literally no access to the servers.

I wish I could put a bounty on those kids. Hopefully they can be tracked down through the MEGA accounts or through their new TOR attack.

I'm sure there were some lame people that got them.

Still, back in the 70's I imagine people were riding around on rollerblades with syphilis.

Lol it's like standing in the doorway of your local bank stopping people going inside and saying "you really trust these guys with your money when I can do this?" :D

If its so easy to do what these "hackers" are doing (I don't even think they should be labelled as hackers) then why is xbl and psn being messed with, they should have security for stuff like this.

A DDoS attack basically floods the target. If there's a security (let's say, a firewall, super strong one), it'll flood the firewall, thus making it inoperable and denying legitimate connections from connecting, thanks to resource starvation from the DDoS attack.

Well, they got $300k worth of premium MEGA accounts, so I'm sure something can be obtained through that. Then again, Kim Dotcom folded like a bad poker hand by giving in to these worthless neckbeards, so he'll probably make sure they stay safe and tucked in tight so the "monsters" don't get them.

Recovery from a DDoS attack takes time. There's a lot of servers to restart and to have a stability check.

They'd be whining about the disco's being closed instead, or the TVs not working. At no time in history has there not been a useless pastime on our daily schedule.

This Lizard Squad group really grind my gears. What actually annoys me even more is when people (mostly the media) refer to a DDoS attack as a hack, of which it is not. Anyone can DDoS, heck, you can even use a Facebook Notes exploit to DDoS a website and take it down. If Dotcom did stop the attacks, then good on him (even if he is a fame whore).
