Kinda, we CANT get online even after countless tries to login to actually play. I feel bad for people who cant get the red mask that day

just an after thought as well, in all of this hype, i genuinely feel sorry for the guys at sony and microsoft who have also had the xmas holidays cut short away from their families due to having to be in the office to fix the systems for so many ungrateful gamers

 

im not expecting rockstar to offer an extended date gift set but it would be nice if they did, if anything, any offers should come from sony and microsoft

So, because of Lizard Squad's criminal activity, Rockstar owes us gifts? What?

Rockstar set a limited time to drop special crates and during that time many many players have been unable to take advantage of their event. all they would be giving us is the opportunity to partake in the event that they set up anyway. it would merely be postponing it rather than giving away anything for free. a goodwill gesture due to the unforeseen problems which have caused the players to miss out on what they planned to do

same here. most of the online options are faded and anything i do try says its rockstars servers that i cant connect to

Agreed. It's the entitlement and misdirected animus toward Sony/Microsoft/Rockstar (and NOT the criminals responsible for the outage) that bothers me. Peace.

i think Rockstar have pulled their servers as a result of this. everything seems ok with PSN now but we cant access the online part of the game. i just tried to check up on Franklins stocks and bawsaq is down for maintenance too. i wonder if they are upgrading their security. they may not be SONY or microsoft but this game has been a massive success for them so they may be worried that they will be hit too

I don't think there's much they could do considering this is a ddos. Besides, taking servers offline through fear of an attack is pretty stupid when the result of a ddos attack would be - servers offline.
