He mentioned it in my Improved Vinewood topic.

 

 

Ok so I'm not sure where to post this but whatever, while changing some stuff with the MTA Map Editor I noticed this square of water underneath the Jefferson Motel, maybe it was used for that pool in the Mulholland safehouse?

It is, I got the same plane of water and put it over the pool, it's around half the size of the Mulholland pool.

He mentioned it in my Improved Vinewood topic.

and certainly after 08/09/2013 when my server's folder was last touched. Anyway I am no one to accuse anyone of anything, besides I own no copyrights or anything, it's just morals. Only thing I am curious about is what was he editing under the map?

 

To answer his question, no the 'swimming' pool at the Vinewood Safehouse is clearly larger and many prerelease screenshots show it with the Vice City water texture thus meaning it was a model(like the one in Pershing Square)

I honestly have no idea what you are talking about, I found that square of water myself using the MTA Map Editor while creating this mod, found it totally by mistake and immediately thought of that empty pool in Mulholland, so I went to the forums and posted it on Kalvin's thread since he was working on that vinewood area.

I wasn't talking about you. and do believe you and if you didn't see it else where then I must say it is a nice find, I was just curious about what ware you editing under the map.

 

To answer your speculations, again, no it is actually from the Jefferson Motel as I have evidenced in my previous post, also the pool is still present in the LOD model.

Thanks for clarifying I was a bit confused with that post :p.

 

And yeah I have never seem that before and was surprised when I found it, makes me wonder why R* decided to scrap these pools or whatever they're meant to be.

Wall that's why I'm doing this, curiosity is a great motivation.

I would like to apologize for the slow progress, but I hope you enjoy the additions to the Database, now the Vehicles have Images, the pictures of the added vehicles and props will be released tomorrow.

The fence around the north side of the Idlewood Projects are done, screenshot can be viewed in the Database. I know all these fences are getting boring but that is the last of it(at least for now) there for I will also post something more exciting later TODAY.

Since I promised to do something other than fences I have finished the Vert Pool in Skate Park the image has been added to the Database.

 

I would like to hear some feedback regarding to the UV Mapping(Textures) as I've tried to make them fit in with the other vert pool by making the texture oddly sized, let me know if you guys want the texture to be correctly resized or keep it as it is.

Images of the Generic Props have been added to the Database. A new more clear image of the Vert Pool has been added.

 

Edit:

The images of the added Roadtrain Trailer, Sabre Turbo, FBI Car, Bloodring Banger (B), Rio and Aztecas_5's Dashound has been added to the Database.

Just a quick update, I am currently working in LAwn and the Equitable Life Building is almost finished, I just need to tweak the prelight a little bit more as it is still too bright. An ENEX has been added for a Rusty Browns and in LAe the traffic lights are also finished.

LAwn is now finished! a full change log can be seen here and in the Database.

-Restored Entrance to Rusty Brown's | Image

-Recreated the Equitable Life Building | Image

-Recreated the Vinewood Shopping Mall | Day | Night

-Recreated the Sign on the Carwash | Image

-Recreated the Carwash Alpha (Unfortunately I have reached the object limit and I have to extend the limits, however I will only be able to do this tomorrow as I was working on the mod for 9 hours straight and it's half past three in the morning, meanwhile you can check it out on this MEd Image)

 

I Hope you like them, also I would like to hear your opinion on the Equitable Life Building as I have an alternative version with actual shadows(done via prelighting) but not many skyscrapers have shadows in San Andreas.

 

Edit:

I just realized that it isn't the object limit but I forgot to add collisions, yes alphas need collisions too, It's just an empty file. Anyway I am unable to fix this as I am extremely busy with collage work, I just realized this yesterday when I got up from bed to grab a drink. I will fix this on Wednesday and also finish everything besides the Jefferson Shops, which still has no textures as we can't find them, but we might as well just do it from scratch just like the objects. Anyway once everything apart from that is finished I am ready to get my hands on the LSIA.

Looking at the vehicles, I have a little question - is there any proof that the Banshee in SA's beta was the VC one? I think I remember seeing beta screenshots already with the GTA III one. Or have I missed something?

I didn't even know half of these VC placeholders were in the BETA apart from the ones seen on screenshots. Like the Sentinel and Trashmaster for example, which screenshots were they on? I guess we can only assume R* started with all of the vehicles from VC and developed them from there.

Will the beta weapon HUD icons be included in the mod? You can see a fairly large amount of them from the BradyGames strategyguide.

Yes, we aim to recreate or restore everything that we know about. As mentioned before we focus on one thing at once so we can make sure everything is included. Currently I am focusing on the map, then when everything is finished I start working on the script, then comes the pedestrians and characters and after the HUD and audio.

 

I would also like to apologize for the lack of updates but I am extremely busy with collage work, I have a few days off in which I will get you some new stuff out.

I know I don't usually post pictures unless the subject is finished or near finished but I thought some of you might be interested in how the mod is done also numerous people asked me where we got these information from which also reminds me that the Database will soon have a new "look", each addition will have three images which will look like ' Before | After | Source | (Description of Source)'.

 

The Los Santos Airport is almost finished, I only need to edit the ground, lod and collisions and it's finished.

I have completely finished mapping it and the model is 100% complete, fixed all bugs and I have also removed the occlusion boxes for the three removed hangars, interestingly the one from the South end of the runway did not have one.

 

I would also like to hear feedback from the Jets, Ramps and Staircases as those ware personal touches, the reason why I placed jets as the Las Venturas Airport had jumbo jets and the LSIA looked similar to the VC Airport in the beta.

I have chosen to add that plane there as it seemed empty and i took the idea from the VC Airport and also in the beta LV Airport there was a jumbo jet in the middle of the Runway.
