TJGM
So I recently got a laptop this Christmas for school work, and while I didn't originally plan on playing games with it, I realised that maybe I could use this when I'm not at my PC to play CS:GO. Although, I'm not sure if it could run it since it's using an integrated graphics card, any thoughts if it'd work at all? CS:GO doesn't exactly require a decent PC to run on low settings, so I'm wondering would I be able to run it with this? Thanks and happy holidays to all. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OA4YJZO?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 Edited December 24, 2014 by TJGM Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/756919-could-this-laptop-run-csgo/ Share on other sites
Norsea
I would say yes. CS:GO's system requirements call for: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Phenom X3 8750 processor or better 2 GB RAM Windows 7/Vista/XP Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 3.0 8GB for download/installation In the Amazon listing, it does not say how much VRAM the integrated graphics unit has. I honestly think you would be able to run it fine, since you meet the requirements The CPU in your laptop preforms slightly less than the recommended E6600.. but you should have no problems Edited December 24, 2014 by android TJGM 1 Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/756919-could-this-laptop-run-csgo/?do=findComment&comment=1066705662 Share on other sites
TJGM
Great, when I get home tonight I'll set it up and test it out. I'll report back if it works or not. Happy Christmas, have a good one. TJGM
Http://www.canyourunit.comwill help give you the idea if it can or can't run it. An idea, but the site isn't very accurate. ----- Anyway, playing on the lowest settings and resolution available and the game still runs fairly bad even with the laptop on High Performance (yes, it makes a difference), I get like 19-45fps but it's not very stable at all and constant stuttering. Too bad I guess, playing CS:GO on it would've just been a bonus, I still just bought it for school work. Norsea
Then that probably means the integrated GPU has less than the recommended amount of VRAM. Sorry to hear that!
