Too busy and still after LV. I still have to clear my Ganton and SMB garages before proceeding to make room for the AP Greenwood and AP/EC White Newsvan, though

You're gonna have to clear Ganton for the AP Infernus as well, since you will have to push the wreck back to a Garage (usually Ganton) to obtain it. I don't like the very end of the game, usually, cuz your Los Santos setup is all nice the entire game and then the final handful of Story Missions make you move all the Vehicles around and it takes a long time if you have a lot to move all over the map, but once it's finalized, that is when it feels good.

I started working and am very busy these days (got off today and tomorrow, though), so I won't be around as much anymore. Glad I was able to finish off my GTA Projects before I started, though. Even on break for an hour, I sometimes boot up III, VC, SA, and CW on my Phone and mess around after I eat while waiting for the break to end, lol...

I'm seriously starting to think that BP/FP/EP/DP Admiral from Los Sepulcros has to be glitched. Years ago, when I was doing my first or second unique vehicle playthrough, that was the only car that inexplicably disappeared from me. Back then I just assumed it happened because of the Santa Maria Beach garage, but just today, it disappeared yet again, this time from the Ganton garage, after I crossed over to the countryside missions. (While my SMB cars were all safe and untouched)

When I went to check all my LS garages after The Green Sabre, all vehicles *were* in their place, but for some reason the Ganton garage opened for me when I was near it with a vehicle, even though it had the maximum 2 vehicles (the Admiral and Sanchez) inside it. As if the Admiral wasn't properly recognized by the game or something. Maybe I should've got in and out to confirm its existence once more, but by now it's too late...

Always make a backup...I got the Admiral from Los Sepulcros, but there is a couple other AP Admirals. I know of other people who have trouble with Ganton and someone who stored this Admiral in Ganton and lost it, too, but it's purely coincidental imo since any vehicle can disappear from any Garage just as easy...I personally never had problems with Ganton, that's for sure and I always had 4 in there until the end of the game.

How do you get the other Admiral from Los Sepulcros? The one Kane drives. I read something about a Packer and dumping Sweet's Admiral in the water but that's all I know

I posted this already about 8 pages back when we were all thrilled over the new BF-400. Same guy, Rustler2010 has this Video...It's not really worth it. And if I ever did future playthroughs of SA on PS2, I wouldn't even get it from Los Sepulcros, period. I'd get it from You've Had Your Chips, which, imo, is the one to get since it's EC2 (but so is Kane's) AND it does NOT require a Mission Failure. The Blue colored AP Admiral in Los Sepulcros as well as the AP/EC2 Admiral from Kane both require a Mission Failure and Kane's is time consuming...

Alright, so I got a couple other questions relating to a unique vehicle walkthrough that I'd like to hear some sorta answers on now that I'm still early in the game:

1) System Error's guide mentions towtrucks as prone to vanishing from garages and even taking away proofed cars' properties upon doing so. Is this actually true, has anyone investigated it more closely? I always like to keep a TT in my garage at the ready, if it's needed for the acquisition of an upcoming unique vehicle, and while I don't want to take unnecessary risks, the guide seems to be the only place that claims they're unreliable to store.

2) Is it possible to bring Denise's progress bar up early in the game without disabling the two-timing scripts? The reason this is problematic is because at first, she'll always want to go eating, and while I know the trick for keeping the scripts inactive on a driving date, there seems to be no such method for eating dates. Sure, I could just speed through the last few LS missions before her progress starts going down, but it'd be preferable if I could raise it up to a reasonable level before being ejected from the city.

And before you ask, no, I won't be picking up any other girlfriends while I'm confined to LS because I always do 'legit' playthroughs, as in, no early exploration in locked areas.

1.

I don't believe I have ever had a Towtruck in the garages that glitched on me. I don't take the warning against Towtrucks very seriously, but I can't prove of disprove anything.

It doesn't sound logical that a certain type of car should make other cars/proofings disappear, I wonder if the Towtruck was a victim of randomness that looked like a pattern.

You will probably experience lost vehicles, but unless you have many Towtrucks it's more likely that you lose a vehicle from a garage where you didn't have a Towtruck.

Check on all your garages from time to time, and use several save slots. Try to avoid opening garage doors by accident, this can happen when you drive near them, fly over them, or enter/exit a safe house door that is close to the garage (example: Santa Maria). I sometimes fill up my garages with placeholders to avoid accidental opening of the door when I drive near it.

2.

You can wait with dating her, the progress almost never drops before you've been on the first date. You need a second girlfriend to keep the two-timing script active, so you must take a trip into locked areas, if you want to date Denise before SF opens up. But I guess you can open up the second island without having dated Denise, and this way avoid the problem.

There's a trick to dating Denise as the only girlfriend. Take her to eat at the Pizza place in Palomino Creek and then upon exiting immediately dash into the Ammu-nation to cancel the date. Immediately: as in start moving during the fade in. You've got to beat the 7 second timer and the fade in upon exit and fade out while entering count towards the timer.

Denise's progress can sometimes drop rather quickly. She can be ready to dump CJ if you take the time to get all the gang turfs early in the game. Getting out of town will usually prevent her progress from dropping. She won't want to dump CJ until she reaches -15% progress, but she'll drop off the stats long before that. Any successful date should result in at least 15% progress.

I've seen no evidence of problems resulting from Towtrucks in garages.

What is the method for obtaining the AP Boxville without dying?

Also, Towtrucks aren't any more likely to vanish from garages than other vehicles, so don't worry

Mission Failed for AP Boxville:

Mission Passed for AP Boxville:

@Dragon, lol, weren't you just a few days back in Las Venturas, which is passed T-Bone Mendez...I feel like you are using CLEO to take you to any Mission you want or something and not playing the game legit :p If you didn't get it yet, then you are only at the beginning of San Fierro and not even really close to The Desert, Las Venturas, or the return to Los Santos yet...

About Tow Trucks, I was always skeptical with having them in the Garages when I am not ready to actually use one. I just pick one up a Mission or two before I need one for the Special Vehicle coming up, however, I did have a Tow Truck a few times for a while in my Garages since a good amount of Special Vehicles need one, but I usually kept it in an empty Garage. For instance, when I get the 5 AP Jealous Girlfriend Vehicles, I just play up to Green Goo so I can unlock the Jetpack and also buy all Las Venturas Safehouses and put a Tow Truck in Fort Carson which at this time, wouldn't have any Vehicles inside of it besides the Tow Truck. But yeah, I've had Tow Trucks in the Garages with Special Vehicles, too, at some time or another and never had it glitch the Garage before and make Vehicles lose properties or disappearing things, etc, etc. This probably isn't exactly true about Tow Trucks...

@Carbonox, so you won't be going to the Los Santos Airport, hopping in a Shamal and taking a trip to the Desert to get the Sea Sparrow and fly it back to Mulholland roof to convert to EP/FP during Gray Imports? When it comes to SA, I don't do a Starter Save and don't go into locked territory early on, either, but there is some things that are a must, like acquiring the Sea Sparrow to convert to EP/FP, or pulling other Rare Vehicles from locked territory to bring back to Los Santos to store in the Garages to convert to EP/FP.

Since I finally took my Photos of my new PS2 Save, I can show you this:

Nj4vIVw.jpg?1

Notice the AP Sadler is sticking out a bit? The front tires are actually outside of the Garage and it's not backed up to the back of the Garage. If you put it all the way in the back, you won't be able to jump behind the Vehicles using CJ's body alone and these Vehicles will be completely stuck and the only way to get them out would be using a Tow Truck or Tractor. However, if you park the AP Sabre in the back with the AP Sadler sticking out a bit like in the Photo with 2 Bikes in front of the Sabre (AP Sanchez and AP HPV-1000), then all you gotta do is get onto 1 of the Bikes and do a burnout to get it out, then get on the other Bike and do the same thing, then you can just open the passenger side door of the Sadler and get inside and drive it out, finally followed by getting into the driver's side of the Sabre and driving it out.

Although, if you have the Vehicles like this, when you open the Garage, it won't close. The only way it will close (it will NOT delete any Vehicles) is by running away from it and keeping the camera on it. When you get far enough away, it will close and the Vehicles won't be deleted and remain in the Garage safely...

I was always not very into putting 2 CARS in Dillimore like this, but it DOES work if you park them like this OR just put the AP Mothership (which is skinny) inside Dillimore with another short Car, like the DP/EP/FP/MP Police or something or other, etc, etc. There is always a combination that will work. I am really enjoying my PS2 Save. I like everything that I have very much! :D

Well, my general policy for all walkthroughs is no cheats, no deaths, and no venturing to locked areas (except the airports for unique jumps), but if you insist, I could make an exception with the Seasparrow, considering I can fetch it without getting wanted, as long as I don't need to kill myself to fail Gray Imports, as I can't think of many other ways to pull it off.

@Militia For my save, I got it using the death method although I wanted to know the non-death method for Chain Games xD Thanks for that, and that mission passing method is horrible O.O I'll go for mission failure xD

Yes, that is how I am. I have 0 Deaths/Busted/Cheats and MINIMUM Mission Failures. Only failing if it's REQUIRED for a Special Vehicle. However, SA is the only GTA out of the 10 I own which contains Special Vehicles that REQUIRE a Death. There is 3 of these in SA (AP/EC Maverick, AP Mothership, and AP Fire Truck). I have 3 Deaths in my PS2 Save for SA for 0 in my Mobile Save. I go for completely different Special Vehicles when playing on Mobile than what I get on PS2 and on PS2, I do my main Save which certainly will contain all or most, mandatory Special Vehicles, so those 3 Death Vehicles are absolutely acquired in the playthrough. I used to kill myself for the AP Boxville in T-Bone Mendez, but now I do it with only a Mission Failure and NO Death.

Nah, you don't need to kill yourself to get the Sea Sparrow. Most people just get it early in the game with a 4 star wanted level and then fly it back to Mulholland and store it on the roof and save the game. I kept my 4 star wanted level when I got it, but others pick up police bribes on the way back to Los Santos and lose the wanted level or at least get it down to 1 or 2 stars instead of 4, but it's still easy enough. Then of course, there is Missions which lock the wanted level where you can go get one and then fly it back to Los Santos easily. Converting Vehicles to EP/FP during Gray Imports only requires a Mission Failure. You don't need to kill yourself. Although, if you are only wanting to convert ONE Vehicle into EP/FP, you can pass the Mission while converting it. That's what I do. I convert everything I want to EP/FP, and then on my LAST Vehicle I want converted, I convert it and PASS the Mission at the same time. Like I said, I pass everything I can with the Vehicle instead of failing, but when something requires a Failure or Death (Only in SA), I do such actions to get such Special Vehicles.

@Militia For my save, I got it using the death method although I wanted to know the non-death method for Chain Games xD Thanks for that, and that mission passing method is horrible O.O I'll go for mission failure xD

Lol, the Death Method isn't very good...That's one of the BIGGEST reasons I re-did my PS2 Save cuz I had 4 Deaths, whereas now I have 3. Not only did I get 1 LESS Death, but I also have 13 less Mission Attempts and about 8 hours quicker for my Total Playing Time Stat than my previous Save. Not to mention the extra 11 Special Vehicles that I didn't have before :D

But yeah, passing the Mission to get it is pretty intense, but there is a couple people who've done it and HeroBrineR007 is gonna be doing it like that when he starts his new SA playthrough on Mobile...

i just tested the new game and taking that seasparrow, you get there alright but once you get into sea sparrow it's all over, 4-star wanted guaranteed, you can't fly back hydras WILL shoot you down!

close to sea, against the ground, doesn't matter, either police shooting me up in helis or hydras toasting with 2 shots and first rocket hits before seasparrow engine starts, now i'm considering is it even worth it, i lost sanity for moment and alot of nerves!

I got it second try. First try, I got shot down and crashed in the desert. But on second try, I just flew low, but not too low and I also wasn't too high. I even tried to find a police bribe or two but got disoriented and couldn't find any, which slowed me down. I flew through forest areas, etc. I thought the boats would should me down, but the Sea Sparrow owns! ;)

actually i went wrong way all along, i tried to avoid flying over solid ground as i did getting there but got shot down, now when going so low that police cars bumped into landing gear was actually one try success, went through lower areas so enforcers drop from cliffs and headed straight to the intersection opposite the LV, under there is bribe accessible with heli, next bribe was not too far west on cliff next to river (south/south-west of catalinas place), 3rd one in mulholland area backyard and by the time getting home i lost last star!

My suggestion for the Seasparrow: Don't fly so low that you can be hit by ground fire. To avoid Hydra missiles, always fly while turning. If a missile locks on then hold the current turn and tighten up the spiral a little. The sparrows have little difficulty out turning the missiles. The Hydra missiles almost always come from directly behind at the time they are fired. They will try to track on a tighter intercept course. Use that knowledge to plot curving paths around hillsides, cliffs, trees and buildings to rub off the missiles and Hydras.

If you fail and reload a few times there's a reasonably good chance the pursuit helicopters and Hydras (Firetrucks and Ambulances too) will get stuck and won't appear for a while.

I've brought a Seasparrow back to Los Santos at the beginning of the game dozens of times without dying. In addition to the tips above, flying the Seasparrow through the sherman dam is good because the water level there confuses aircraft and frequently police helicopters will drown in the water and in my experience the hydra rarely ever spawns when I'm in the sherman dam. A Seasparrow also spawns in the sherman dam and its a little bit closer to Los Santos then the Seasparrow north of the old airfield. Boats usually only start to appear near the end of the river by which point you can fly low over land and change your direction a bit. What I do is take the seasparrow from the dam and I can usually get close to the badlands countryside before a hydra even appears, then there's a few bribes there you can get to get your wanted level low enough before you get back to Los Santos. Also a Seasparrow can survive a hydra hit depending on where the missile hits, but it can comfortably survive a hit fairly often just avoid it getting hit at the front of the aircraft. I'm always going into locked areas at the beginning of the game so I have plenty of experience from hydras and Seasparrow flying.

i already told i developped my own safe route to LS, first i got through verdant meadows and stay near ground (police cars don't damage it at all, they stumble and trip), police can't shoot me because they have no time to exit, then i go over the cliff before the gas station in south and drop some police off from there also, then i go low and through the factory area south of area69, then just diagonally get over intersection where you can go to san fierro and head towards intersection with bribe under it, staying near ground and getting near water (no boats was coming) then i reach the bribe, bump some police gently, now the danger is over, i got the 3-star wanted and rest is simple, getting the second bribe in badlands! i found a strategy here which worked perfectly with first try, i will use it in future too, btw i saw once in awhile a hydra in distance but since i went between obstacles and low it never got the permanent lock-on to me!

Sandking's probably the easiest vehicle in general to bring back as it can walk over the bridge from Las Venturas to Los Santos - and its tough and can take a lot of damage and should it flip over, it has a strange quality of almost always flipping right back up. On the other hand, the Turismo is one of the hardest vehicles to bring back because can take a while to even spawn, can damage very easily and has to make the jump from Las Venturas to Los Santos and that can destroy it or flip it upside down.

That's why I brought the Turismo during 'Los Sepulcros'. I used the no wanted level and since the mod shops were unlocked, I gave my Turismo hydraulics to climb over the railing like the Sandking does

IMO there's no use for FP/EP only on land driving vehicles and then i find bringing cars over blocked bridge also useless, much better idea is stealing the AP cars from missions! But the missileproof heli is useful for traveling locked areas! ;)
