@ honestjaye - I'm not releasing the old model version as the quality just isn't as good. I will make 2 versions of the new one. One will have winkles and one will look younger.

It would be cool to see some movies for cj one I can get him in game

That's a shame,the old hd cj model looks so unique,I don't know quite how to explain it,the 90s cj is basically cj with perfect quality,but the old cj looks so good,perfect for a 40 year old gta universe cj,although he looks like he could be cjs dad in the comparison picture

The problem lies with topology. It just isn't as neat. I know what you mean about the uniqueness. It's kinda like we grew to love him haha. Maybe if there is demand I will try work something out where I can fix a few things about him and improve his quality.

I remember when you started working on it so long ago,I can't believe it's been that long,and the amazing progress on both,when the final 40 year old cj pics got released my jaw was dropping,and the feeling was refelt when I see 90s cj now haha,about the topology,yeah I wish I knew all about that. when I first used 3ds max I used gta sa tarnell and put my facegen head on it,so I could play as myself in gta sa but my laptop broke before I got to figure out how to actually export him and add the textures,so don't know much at all but I saw Franklin's topology,and see what you mean

perfect,no lie just...it was perfect before,but now perfection has been perfected

edit:those eyes!!!I think you perfected them since some people were like "ugh his eyes are Brown ugh"but I always saw them as blueish,I think you got the perfect balance

Those veins/arteries on CJ's arm is too visible, you should tone them down.

I've been following this thread for a while, but I don't think I've posted anything here.

Thanks guys. Might work on his body a bit more next. I also want to improve his vest and texture on his baggy jeans

The only thing I noticed being different in your comparison of the high quality model to the original were the eyes.
They are less open in the original model. That's the detail that makes the new model and the old one look so different. As for the other aspects - perfection!

They'd look more natural for CJ's facial build if they were smaller but that's just my opinion.
Feel free to do it however you like it. :)

the eyes were smaller but in my opinion cj needs no change,I see it like this,when I'm drawing,and I fix it and fix it until it looks good,but then I want to keep adding,a lot of times that ruins the drawing cuz it looks like I spent too much time on it,cj right now is perfect,changing the eyes or anything could actually be going backwards

Edit:eyes weren't smaller,just more closed,like if he was permanently bored

I save different versions so I wouldn't worry. I'm currently using version 2 for screens which has a wider jaw than V1 which you can find in the comparison pic of new vs old

I think you should make a version more identical to original CJ, smaller eyes and the lips identical to original, also, no beard (only a light musthache and goatee), and no scars.

Lips and eyes is the biggest difference.

@almico - "anything I should change?" - First of all I really like that you've been slowly morphing his head more human, realistic. But I think you made him look more mature than he should be throghout the process. I know wrinkles and scars make the model more believeable and real but its a bit too much for a guy his age. At least for me. And the texture on the lips are blurry :p Anyway it's awesome!

@FidoX yeah I agree that his details make him look older. I can see about making him look a bit younger. Also the lips do look a tad blurry.
