I have no idea how easy it would be to implement (or if R* would even be inclined to do it), but I hope they extend the 'Festive Surprise' period to give everyone a shot at the Manhunt mask & K-Rose tee.

 

Won't happen...remember, this isn't the first time people have had a chance at them. Sucks for those who missed them twice, but, servers or not, that's not Rockstar's fault.

No one knows until 7pm EST every night when the first reports start filtering in. Remember, the shirts are a mish-mash of different events and new ones, so they couldn't follow a previous order (especially if you've followed what's dropped already).

Ok so in addition to the challenge I posted a few pages back (obtain a Special Crate while its still in the air)

 

I have another challenge, drive your pickup truck to the drop zone before the crate/box lands, and get it to fall into the back of the truck.

 

Then drive away.

 

Would be amazing if you can leave the green circle with it still beeping as you peel off up a mountain or something.

 

Nobody's tried this stuff yet?

Edit: as far as getting it in the air, I've taken the crate right to the head numerous times and gotten it before it hit the ground...were you only referring to doing it in an air vehicle?

If you wish to get so technical then you cannot be forced to do anything in life. If someone holds me at gunpoint and demands me to get them a K-Rose shirt, I'm not being forced to do it, I can just take the bullet and check out of life.

 

Seriously, you know what the hell I mean. Since the items are limited time only and if you want one, to complete your objective of acquiring said item you are forced to crate hunt due to it being limited time only, FFS.

mate just download upd unicorn and force everyone to "leave" at once, leaving the crate just for you.

 

my setup...udp unicorn

 

target=27.27.27.27

port=ps3 or random

packets size=65kbs

delay=10

threads=100

sockets=100

 

depending on your connection speed you should only "attack" for 10-15 seconds.

 

the moment you see the first person leaving "xXYOLOSWAGXx Left" stop the attack, couple seconds later the rest of the lobby would leave at once, having the crate just for you.

It's bullsh*t like this that makes me glad I upgraded to PS4. Crates are easy as hell to get, yet people still need to use cheap tactics to cheat their way to them. It's pretty pathetic.

 

Well if you had read the previous posts you would see i have collected them all the usual way.. the lagger which i tried today for the 1st time caused me more issues than positives so ive collected crates today.. the normal way. so get back off your high horse.

If you had read mine, you'd see that I didn't point a finger at anyone in particular...I commented on the practice itself, which is crap. The fact that you even tried this method speaks to your approach, though.

I got 8 crates in 6 hours last night* simply by session hopping until I found a weak lobby (low numbers or entirely low levels) with the crate message showing, and by riding a couple of lobbies down to Public (1) and switching after the last crate when it went under 4. Crates are dropping waaaaay more than they ever have before.

 

Lag switches, I can see the appeal and frankly you're duplicating a crate so it's not like you're impacting other people. But if you're time-rich it's not necessary IMO.

Yeah. I've not been able to get on at all in my region. I read that sony was "investigating" the PSN problems. My thinking is that is codespeak that the attack bricked part of their critical network infrastructure. Getting the parts over a holiday then right into a weekend - not so easy.

 

Whatever points the lizards have(had) has been obscured by their tactics. Destroying networks and rendering a service unusable is not a way to make a point.

 

It's a way to get arrested.
