I wouldn't mind seeing a video of someone picking up a crate with a Blarney hat...I'm a little surprised that no one who says they got them had a capture card running.

I'm sorry, I don't have a capture card. Otherwise I would already post the video of me getting the special crate as proof.

It's not troll, trust me. I dunno about the current-gen but it was there on the last-gen.

 

I'm up to about 60% confidence that they are dropping for some people. If nobody was taking a dump on XBL right now I'd be trying for 3-7 sequential crates in a session, see what happens.

The beer hat event was yesterday but I really love to see you getting the Blarneys Beer Hat in the special crate so you could prove to these people that the claim is actually true.

I have no idea where did you get that statistic number from but if it's true then mine falls into the 30% of it.

 

I'm thinking Blarney's was a troll.. if it was dropped more than just 5 ppl would be claiming to have gotten it.

If you read this thread few pages back then you'll see that there are quite a number of people (I think 5 or more) who claimed to get the Blarneys Beer Hat yesterday.

 

Face it people, it dropped for some, whether it was planned or weird coding.

They need a solid proof for that. A video, to be exact. Otherwise those people who gets the Blarneys Beer Hat would be accused as trollers or modders.

 

If you have a modded console, you can acquire the Blarney hat whenever you want as I understand it.

Its a possibility but I think its unlikely if they are going to offer up everything from previous special crates.

How hard is it to fix a Ddos attack? Couldn't it be as easy to shut down the servers and restart, it will kick anyone out and be empty, sorry if I'm wrong I've only been Ddosed once and that was because my brother had a friend who had a friend who attacked us, only let up when my we threatened to call the police on his friend

One thing I can confirm is that the cycle is this:

 

1. Special Crate Drop

2. Other freemode event (Lester Kill Target, high value vehicle, normal crate, etc)

3. GOTO 1.

 

The frequency is the highest it's ever bee, you used to have to cycle through 2 or 3 'other' events.

 

You can just destroy the HPV still though, and Lester targets + Stinger = candy from a baby. Currently 18m until 4th crate in this session, which hopefully will be "tomorrow's"

People didn't take a Snapmatic in July of it just to wait till Christmas for an unannounced event to post a picture of them having a Blarneys hat.

There is a few pictures on my Snapmatic from a few days. Then a few photos of Pibwasser from a few months ago, so again, it's not an elaborate plan by me to troll GTAF 6 months prior. The closest my PS3 is to modded is modded lobbies on GTA.
